To Skeptics Who Believe In Evolution: Where Will Your So Called ‘Science’ Be Then? [Spirituality & Religion]

There will come a Day of Judgment when Yahweh will judge the world. The world will not judge Him with its unrighteous judgment on that Day, but God, the Righteous Judge, will judge the world for its unrighteousness. So I ask, where will your so called ‘science’ be then? I'm not talking about science itself, just your misunderstanding of it. Where will your unbelief go when you're faced the truth that Yahweh lives? Where will your haughtiness be then? Where will your intellect be? What will you say to God that will convince Him to let you into His kingdom? Without the Spirit of Christ in you, you can’t enter the Kingdom of God.

Amen to that. That's the truth! But I must say that even the Bible is accurate scientifically, in a time when people didn't know much about science. For an example, before the time period when people thought the earth was flat, the Bible calls the earth round and hangs on nothing. The first line of Isaiah 40:22 reads, “It is he [i.e. God] who sits above the circle of the earth.” The Bible also explains the water cycle.

@LadyGrace Sorry, but the way the solar system was worked out about 5000 years before christ. In China and in Greece.

Why do you say that?

@GodSpeed63 ?????
@jackieash What do you mean? God created the solar system. He worked out the way He wanted it, not man. They were there way before man.

Welcome back, sister, I miss your wisdom.
@GodSpeed63 Well, someone asked me to leave my profile up in case someone may want to read my articles. I don't know about that, but they were right...it won't hurt to leave my profile up in case they do.

@LadyGrace @LadyGrace @LadyGrace What do YOU mean? Have you even read anything about how the universe and the solar system came to exist? I hardly claim to be an expert, but I'd rather take into account the findings of a bunch of scientists who have studied and researched into the subject rather than throwing my hands in the air, in the belief that some imaginary sky fairy with a beard and a fuck awful temper made everything.

@LadyGrace By definition, a circle is a flat, one dimensional shape.
redredred · M
@LadyGrace Then why in Joshua does it say god made the sun stand still in the sky when it is the earth that rotates?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@redredred Ever heard of sunrise or sunset? How about 'the sun is over the yard arm'?
redredred · M
Oh, so the bible is allegorical, good to know.@hippyjoe1955
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@redredred No. It is written in the common language of the people. We see the sun move in the sky. Do we sit down and do an analysis of well the sun really isn't moving the earth is or do we simply express what we see? As June approaches I say "My but the sun is up early in the morning". I don't say "My but the tilt of the earth is causing the night to be shorter". Ditto December when I say my but the sun sets early.
redredred · M
@hippyjoe1955 Its either absolutely inerrant or its not. Are bats birds? Is intellectual consistency too much to ask of fools who believe in fairy fathers? The sun does not rise or set in an inerrant telling, so which is your stupid book, inerrant or allegorical?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@redredred Maybe in your 'wound too tight world'. I have no trouble understanding the expressions used. Sucks that you have so much trouble with it. Oh that is your problem not mine. If you think you are proving anything you are. You are proving that you just aren't that smart. Sucks to be you I guess.
redredred · M
@hippyjoe1955 I well understant the allegorical term, "sunrise" which is why I ask (again and again) is your stupid, fucking, error-ridden book supposed to be inerrant or allegorical? Answer that or admit you can't or won't.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@redredred As my old prof once opined. "He who resorts to profanity first has lost the debate" have a nice flame out. You look foolish again.
redredred · M
@hippyjoe1955 So you can't or won't answer. Noted that you cannot defend or explain your stupid book.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@redredred No need to answer a fool. The fool can't understand no matter how simple you make it. sucks to be you.
redredred · M
@hippyjoe1955 Im not the one who believes in fairy tales and, just like everything else about religion, it needn't make any sense and you dont have to answer any question that point out your obvious fallacies.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@redredred you believe nothing caused everything for no reason. Brilliant.
@jackieash People tend to mock what they don't understand. God's Word doesn't leave us to guess about how the world came into existence. If you can't accept that, that's fine, but God knows far more than mere man and if you'd study the why of things, instead of drawing conclusions and making fun of God, you'd know the reasons certain things happened. If God didn't love you, He certainly wouldn't have died on the cross, so that through the forgiveness of our sins, you and I, and the world, could have eternal life in heaven. He not only said he loves you, he proved it. No one has to miss heaven. And the whole point of God taking action in the Old Testament was because God protects His own, as promised, against their enemies.
@redredred This was a special one time event as recorded in Joshua chapter 10 verses 12 to 14 when Joshua ask the Lord to make the sun stand still over Gibeon till the nation avenged itself on its enemies. The Lord was fighting for Israel. God provided 24 hours of light to aid Israel in destroying their enemy, the Amorites. Joshua described the miracle just as we might describe it, from an earthbound perspective. From the perspective of someone standing on the earth, it does appear that the sun moves. We ourselves commonly speak of sunrise and sunset. Today, we know that The Earth stays in orbit around the sun because of gravity and inertia. Gravity helps Earth go around the sun and not fly off. Inertia helps Earth stay away from the sun.
@yogibooboo Isaiah chapter 40 verse 22 says there is One who is dwelling above the circle of the Earth, the dwellers in which are as grasshoppers, the One who is stretching out the heavens just as a find gauze, who spreads them out like a tent in which to dwell. The Hebrew word translated as "circle" in Isaiah 40:22 is chuwg, which means circle. Not flat, but circular.

You got that right, sister. I was talking about pseudo science and not true science ordained by God. Thank you for your input and the Bible verses you gave.

@GodSpeed63 dont worry i respect u. I guess im just trying to find out ur reason for thinking there is a god.

For me i very black and white. It has to have logic for me to make reason of it. The universe is 13.5 billion years old. Humans are like a speck of dust in time. This is how i think.
