Do you blame others for your own failings to achieve, or do you accept personal responsibility? [Spirituality & Religion]

Stoicism Quote #1
It is easy to blame “them”. It is hard to confront “me”. The easy path is the road to ruin. The hard path is the way of growth.

Do you blame others for your own failings to achieve, or do you accept personal responsibility?

Blaming others is cheating yourself out of a chance to grow. That's my take on it.

@SW-User I remember at one point seeing a study that stated that more successful people had an internal locus of control vs external. They did sometimes overstate their efforts for success, but they also understate the external difficulties they faced. Which if you think about it, is an aspect of courage.

@okaybut That makes perfect sense to me.
Never have, that's how you learn...
Yepp...the buck stops here with me.

most people fail to recognize and acknowledge their responsibilities. i try to own up to it as much as i can, its the only path forward for people who want progress

@Zaxel I agree. Nice to hear. :)

I alone am responsible for my successes and failures and yes I accept that responsibility.

@Zoranna Awesome, an admirable trait. :)
That's the negative side. I credit myself with my own success.
