Why do skeptics get so emotional and aggressive in opposing biblical Christianity? Why does it bother them? Why does it matter at all to them? [Spirituality & Religion]

Think about the well-known skeptic Richard Dawkins. Why does he spend so much time writing and speaking against Someone (God) he doesn’t believe exists? Why is he so aggressive against biblical Christianity? In an ultimately purposeless and meaningless existence, why does it matter to him if people believe in the God of the Bible and the account of creation as outlined in Genesis? Why bother fighting against such people when, from his perspective, eventually no one will even know they ever existed? They claim that they care about people and argue that believing in creation is harmful to society. But something deeper is going on. They aren’t fighting for the truth, but suppressing it.

That's why it's not about religion, never has been or ever will be about religion. It's a close relationship with our Father in Heaven, the one true God.

No, she wouldn't. She'd still be right where she is as a free thinker. Free thinking come Yahweh, the one true God. Responsibility also come from the one true God, Yahweh.

Because religion needs to be suppressed. When it has been allowed power is has created places like Iran. A question that needs to be asked is why do religious people need to make all countries into theocracies when they could simply move to a place like Iran which is perfect and Godly and see what religious power really does and why it needs to be kept in check.
Also it is hard to tell the difference between someone being religious and scrupulously which is a mental illness. A good measure is: it is a mental illness if it negatively affects the person or those around them. Which many times it does. Yet they and others are expected to suffer because religious sickness is considered taboo to touch.

A true Athiest who trully believes God does not exist does not get emotionally upset about God.. Like i don't get upset about Sanata Clause because i trully do not beliueve he exists.. You cannot hate someone you know does not exist..

These ""atheists"" who get upset about God are not real Atheists they are tools being moved by the spirit of the air..

I think it's ignorance, and some skeptics are influenced by Satan without realizing it and some live such empty lives that their only 'pleasure' is mocking, insulting and swearing at people who see the world differently. So sad because God could give them an amazing peace, joy and purpose in life

Because he believes that there are good people and bad people but religion is the only one that makes good people do bad things. He believes religion causes a lot of hate and misery.
Read the book "The God Delusion" it is all explained. I've read the bible and spent all my time in religious schools.I dare you to read it.

@SW-User With Christianity, this is the way Jesus told his disciples to spread the good news of hope and life eternal, in Christ, after his death. He obviously was here for a short time, only 33 years, so he encouraged his followers to preach the gospel to the world, after his death. No one is forced to listen or agree.

That’s a good question! I think it has a few reasons,

First Christians are like strangers in the land because we are walking with God snd they hate us like they hate Jesus. “Darkness hate the light!” As Jesus says!

Second, they are deceived by Satans lies into believing his lies!

I dislike Dawkins and regard him more of an antitheist than an atheist. However, there needs to be done argument against religion if it's used as a pretext to stifle civil rights or indoctrinate people. I say this as a religious person.
