If God means the ones described by religions, no. But if you ask me if there is a supreme being out there who controls everything, I don't know.
Reverend · M
@JBird at least your not closed off to possibility.

@JBird That's my thoughts as well.
@JBird I feel your first sentence contradicts your second one
Reverend · M
@Qwerty14 I don't. Care to explain your reasoning?
@Reverend Well the description of a god in the second sentence "a supreme being out there who controls everything" is how a lot of religions describe their deities. That's all.
Reverend · M
@Qwerty14 are you saying there is not a supreme being in control of everything?
@Reverend I'm not saying anything beyond what I've said lol
Reverend · M
@Qwerty14 Im just trying to figure out what you mean.
@Reverend It's not important. I just don't really understand why the OP of this comment thread said they don't believe in the gods of religions but would be open to the idea of a god described exactly like one in religion. It's like saying you don't want a sandwich but you do want something between two pieces of bread lol
Reverend · M
@Qwerty14 The important thing to me is, she is open to God. He can reveal himself without mainstream religion. That is my hope for her.

@Qwerty14 @Reverend tbh, when I say a supreme being it can be anything. Maybe it's kind of a force or energy that doesn't care what you do, whether you worship it or even empathic as other religions claim to be. I don't know if there's a God/any supreme being(s) that govern hoe things work in the universe or not. But all I know the Gods any religion or religious texts describe is not real.

@JBird I think you are a deist.
JBird · F
@greenmountaingal I don't think so. I believe in reasons and logic.
