God had no beginning, and He has no end. [Spirituality & Religion]

God says He is, and was, and always will be. That's why He calls Himself "I AM".  That describes an eternal and continuing presence.

He exists outside of time. He created time for us and it's all we know, but that doesn't mean it applies to Him, as well. He is bigger than time. He is bigger than space. His nature is beyond our comprehension.

No one created Him. He has always been. One reason we have difficulty understanding this, is because even time itself was created by God. Before time began, God already existed. This is why the Bible calls Him “the Alpha and the Omega (which are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet), the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (Revelation 22:13). Part of God’s greatness is that He is eternal. Unlike us, He had no beginning and He has no end.

We have difficulty with the concept of forever, too, and for the same reason- our understanding of time. And yet He wants to be known. He has given us His Word, the Bible, to give us a picture of who He is - not a complete picture, but one we can stand on, if we trust Him.

There are many things about God, we will not understand, until we stand in His presence. That's why He tells us that faith and trust are so important. If we are determined to only accept the things about God that make sense to us - we will never know Him the way He wants us to know Him. He is our heavenly Father, and children who know they are loved, are able to trust their parents - even when they don't understand. Loving parents ask their children to trust them, and so does God.

As imperfect humans - our minds have a limit, and no, we cannot grasp the concept of eternity.

Psalm 90:2

"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you formed the earth and the world, even from Everlasting to Everlasting, Thou Art God."

God has always existed - He has always been around. That's why He is referred to as the 'Creator', because He created the universe and everything within it.

You have to understand that despite our ability to grasp mass amounts of knowledge - we don't  know everything- and there are many things we don't understand. Why? Because we're imperfect human beings. If we were perfect - we wouldn't need a backspace key,  an eraser, or an undo button.

God is the apha and the omega. The beginning and the end. There is nothing before and nothing after.

God is eternal.
