Strange question!
It has nothing to do with you being a "good Christian" - whatever a "good" or "bad" Christian may be.
The Dark Materials trilogy is nothing more than a harmless, entertaining fantasy. If you think it somehow "bad" or "wrong", then do you think it based on fact?
Watch or read it and enjoy it for what it is - simply fiction and fun!
(I have not yet read it but did listen to a dramatised serial of it on the radio some years ago; and promised myself I will read it when I get a Round Tuit.)
