I just hate it when people put blame on Satan for their mistakes instead of taking responsibility. [Spirituality & Religion]

I guess Christians made up Satan to hold their guilty and wrongdoings. Lol.

@Emosaur actually she is right. There are Satans. Eg. The people who made up religions.
Sassygirl42 · 51-55, F
@JBird you will see

@Sassygirl42 I am seeing them everyday. My father, the teachers and priests who take advantage on children and women, politicians and many more.
@JBird There are good people and there are bad people in this world. That is a given. ALL are sinners. Every one of us...so what you are witnessing is not about Christians. God is showing us what this world is like with sin in it, and why we need Him. Each shall give an account of, and are responsible for their own sins, so God said to look to Him for answers....not from flawed man. We are only responsible for our own sins. If we keep our eyes on man, instead of God, man will let us down every time. We're not perfect, and we weren't made to be. History shows we make mistakes and some don't learn from them. The proof you seek of God, is in the experience. One cannot know God, until His Spirit unites with ours.... that means after we ask for forgiveness of our sins, which upon forgiveness, brings us back into fellowship with God the Father. Our spirit then unites with His and we become a new person in Christ, by the renewing and transformation of mind and Spirit BY the Holy Spirit, which God places in each new believer.

God does not condemn us. Our sins do. Sin separates us from God in heaven. If sin were to enter heaven, then it would not be heaven .

You said Christians blame everything evil on Satan. Yet you are blaming every evil in this world on God. How can God be evil? He is perfect...without flaw or sin. It is not even in His character. Does it make sense that Jesus died on the cross to overcome evil and death, if he created it? No. He did not even create evil. It is found in the hearts of people. Necessary for choice. He came to rescue us from the consequences of SIN. God is showing us what man does with the free will, God gave him. He abuses it and rebels. He sins. Not ALL, but some. Yet all of us have sin, and Christ is the remedy for having it be forgiven and washed away. There is no condemnation to those whose sins have been covered and paid for, by the blood of Jesus.

Yes you are, and things will get even worse, because some want to sin. It won't always be this way.
@JBird The problem is religion. It is nothing but man-made philosophy. That's why it never works. Whereas, knowing Jesus is about having a personal relationship with him on a daily basis. It has nothing to do with religion. Religion does not save one. Religion did not die on the cross for our sins. Jesus did.
JBird · F
@LadyGrace Uh, Jesus being son of God is a man made philosophy BTW. It is a religion o
if one sees him a God and worships him. Again, he didn't save anyone by being executed because I see that world is the same.

Wow. This is a great discussion. I just want to say that I think the world is NOT the same since Jesus was crucified. That one act changed the world dramatically. And I know you don't believe Jesus was who he claimed to be. But then tell me. Who do you think Jesus was?@JBird
JBird · F
@BigRon I believe he was just an ordinary man and who led a revolution. His followers exaggerated his story after his death to make him look like he was a supernatural being.

Of course, world changed with scientific inventions and medical advancements. But still people are just greedy and horrible regardless of being Christian or not.
Sassygirl42 · 51-55, F
@JBird wow i truly feel sorry for you
JBird · F
@Sassygirl42 same I feel for you living up to a fairy tale made up by ancient men.
Sassygirl42 · 51-55, F
@JBird its no fairytale... He performs miracles all the time. He is our creator and deserves respect.
JBird · F
@Sassygirl42 actually, miracles are said in a book. Not real life. There's no evidence of him being creator. If he 'demands' respect, he's a dictator not God. If anyone deserve respect, it's the nature because we have been killing it ever we came around.

Science has concluded that there are more stars in the sky than there are grains of sand on all the beaches on Earth. That's a lot of stuff out there. How do you suppose the universe got here? Big Bang? There was a tremendous amount of matter in the Big Bang. How did it get there? Where did it all come from?@JBird
JBird · F
@BigRon Nobody knows. It's still yet to know, I hope.
@JBird You said there's no evidence of God as Creator.

When you walk into a beautiful church building, do you analyze every detail of how it got there or how long construction took? No. You can clearly see someone with a master hand, designed and built it.

When you look at the mountains, do you reason that through the ages, a chaos of water, wind, and mud, threw themselves magically together at just the right moment and created the four faces on Mt. Rushmore? No. You know "someone" carved them out. Then why do you question the beauty in all of nature and the intricate detail, when God has clearly left His signature?

God did not leave us to guess...nor as a mystery. While there is much to know about God, He revealed enough about Himself, so we could have eternal life with Him.

“God is the Lord and has revealed Himself to us” – Ps 117:27
(118:27)

Don't like scripture? God has revealed Himself to us through creation. It is indeed, a manifestation of God.

God can also reveal Himself to us, in our own lives. If we want God to reveal Himself, we must purify our minds and hearts and humble ourselves to make room for God to act. God reveals Himself to the meek and humble. He is present everywhere. When we pray, we can come into living communion with God, who has revealed Himself to us, and continues to reveal Himself to those who love Him.

Let's see man create a full human being with all its intricacies. In fact, let's see man create a brand new living sperm, without the aid of anything, let alone a human body.

Love and compassion are good; hate and disregard are bad. How do we know that? God placed that knowledge within us. God reveals Himself through our own knowledge of good and evil.

God also reveals Himself through His Word, and the leading and directing of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals God through our experiences, Bible passages, thoughts, and ideas that come to mind in certain situations. However, for anyone to see God’s revelation, they must be a believer and diligently seek God. To know the things of the Spirit, you must be "born" of the Spirit. That is, upon confession of faith, repentance of sins, and forgiveness of them, God places the Holy Spirit within our hearts to rejuvenate and reform our spirit to be like His. We are brand new in spirit and mind, as if we never sinned. He remembers our sins no more. God also reveals Himself through others who have a personal relationship with Him, through the Holy Spirit, who makes Himself known to our heart and mind, through study of His Word, nature, and prayer.

All of nature and life we see, is to remind us that God is indeed alive, and all we have to do is open our eyes, to enjoy His gorgeous handiwork. A person would have to be blind, not to see it.

@LadyGrace Amen!!!!!!!!!!!
@LadyGrace unless you believe the big bang theory
@ExperienceDLT Big Bang theory is just that...theory. God has revealed Himself in so many ways. The ideology of naturalistic evolution is losing ground. Both laymen and scientists are growing increasingly aware that the universe and the life within it are much too complex to have been a mere accident. The so-called “Big Bang” set in motion a series of creative events so complex and perfect that all of man’s accumulated scientific wisdom is just beginning to explore them. A feat of cosmic engineering has occurred on such a vast scale, that objective observers are being silenced and humbled.
@LadyGrace you argue that the big bang theory is only a "theory" it can also be argued that your belief in God is just that only a "belief" where you around during the time of God and Jesus Christ do you know first hand that Christ did the things claimed in the bible? No you don't know first hand you just believe it to be true how is that any different from those that believe in a scientific theory
@ExperienceDLT Great question. The "proof" people seek for the existence of God, is found in the experience. We are spiritually blind until we realize our need for God because our sin separates us from him. That is, before we find God, our spirit is actually dead. Jesus brings our spirit alive the moment we accept him as our savior. He actually sends the Holy Spirit to dwell in us to help us learn and understand about him. I know I never could understand fully what God was trying to tell me in his Word, until my spirit joined his, by the gift of the Holy Spirit, after I accepted him as my Savior. All new believers receive the Holy Spirit upon forgiveness of their sins and turning from them, to a new life in Christ. That Holy Spirit is evidence that God has received us and forgiven us, and is God's seal of promise, that we are indeed heirs of salvation and the Kingdom of God.

You were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance (Ephesians 1:13–14). As one means of guaranteeing His promises to those who have received Jesus Christ, God has sealed [them] in Him, with the Holy Spirit of promise.
