Belief in God predates the Bible by hundreds of thousands of years. One look in the night sky and the earliest human likely felt a sense of awe and understood a closeness to God far greater than anyone enclosed in a cathedral. Humans, in attempting to create teachings of the metaphysical have only created chaos.

@Tastyfrzz The Bible is God breathed, a love letter to humans.

@Carazaa If I wrote a love letter with sections on tacking people's skin to barns like in first Kings it might not go over so well.

@Tastyfrzz what verse are you speaking of? We are doomed! " I am a consuming fire" God says! He sent his son so we can have forgiveness and live!

@Carazaa Now King David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he gat no heat. 2 Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat. 3 So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king. 4 And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to him: but the king knew her not. - That would go over great too!

@Tastyfrzz what's your point? It wouldn't go over well? King David loved God but had an affair with a married woman and he had the husband killed in battle so he wouldn't see the baby looked like him. God punished David by killing his baby. But when David died God said "I have loved David, a man after my own heart" God loves us even when we sin, if we repent and love God!
