@Sassygirl42 Actually I don't need to know without recognizing the signs. Yours is a works related salvation. I have studied 7 day ads. I know what you believe and I know how it is a heresy. What's more I know why it is heresy.

@Sassygirl42 Yes sadly it is a heresy. I'm not taking any joy in telling you that. It simply is the truth. I call heresy heresy. It doesn't matter whether it is JW Mormon 7 DA or even the prosperity 'gospel'. I know the difference between the heresy of Arminius and the heresy of Calvin.

@hippyjoe1955 you have no clue what my church teaches are you studying it now??? You don't know how beliefs have evolved and changed. You aren't in my church to know you only know history but nothing that's changed. You have no clue now kindly ... Let this go.

@Sassygirl42 Actually I do know what is taught based on your church's founding understanding. It holds that there is two stages to our salvation. Christ's redemptive work is sufficient once and for all. There is no second stage and no need to try to follow the law. In doing so the 7DA are calling Christ a liar and St Paul too. The trouble they have is that they cut off the branch they are sitting on. Without Jesus and St Paul the entire New Covenant disappears and with it the Old Covenant as well since Jesus IS the God that instructed Moses on what to put into the law.

@hippyjoe1955 we aren't ever going to agree so kindly let this go i know what i believe. I know it is by his grace but i also know we cannot ignore his commandments. He doesn't change. So we need to stop debating. Please just stop now. We can agree to diagree. Enough is enough.

@Sassygirl42 Not until you try to ask Jesus for forgiveness and repent of trying to earn your way into heaven. Try looking at this from God's point of view. Here is a free Gift no strings attached all you have to do is accept in humility. All the Christians bow their heads and in humility whisper the sinner's prayer. "Father please forgive me a sinner and make things right between us by making Jesus Lord and Savior of my soul." All the 7DA bow their heads and say "forgive me God but I want to earn your gift on my own merit".

As Paul wrote in Galatians 3: 9 - 11 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. All who rely on works of the Law are under a curse. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” And it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”…

@hippyjoe1955 i know i cannot earn my way to heaven. I know that no one can do this. I never professed that i could. I know the righteous lives by faith. I do not disagree with that and neither does my church. Why don't you do more research. Ask our church conference what we teach now as compared to what was taught originally before you make such statements.

@Sassygirl42 So why then are you trying to by keeping the sabbath. Do you try to keep the dietary rules as well? Some of my 7DA friends are also vegetarian thinking that meat makes them unclean.

@hippyjoe1955 faith without works is dead. Having faith does not mean do not be obedient. Works alone doesn't save ultimately it is faith but it doesnt mean there is no need to be obedient. He wants our obedience because we love him not because it saves us ....

@Sassygirl42 Nice try but wrong attitude. Works are the manifestation of God through us not us keeping some silly rule that no longer applies. What works have you done if all you did was keep the law? NONE. What works have I done NONE but God through me has worked miracles I could never expect. I was preaching in church one day and suddenly it seemed like I was standing beside me listening to me speak. It was a bit disconcerting. The sermon ended and the entire church rushed to the altar to receive renewal and blessing. I was shocked. As we filed out of the church several people asked me where I went. I didn't get what they were saying. I hadn't gone anywhere. But they insisted that as I spoke my voice continued but my body disappeared. I suppose it happened about the time I felt like I was standing beside myself listening to the words.

@hippyjoe1955 the bible says faith withour works is dead. It is biblical i didn't make it up ... He still wants our obedience it is ridiculous to think we can do whatever as long as we have faith. Even the devil believes but he isn't going to be saved.

@Sassygirl42 James 2:18 Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.” Keeping the law is not good deeds. It is exactly the opposite.

@hippyjoe1955 he died so we didn't have to as the wages of sin is death. He died because of our sin. Because of his death we can be forgiven but it doesn't mean go ahead and sin all you want its ok. No big deal.
