For "some reason" the ones who dimiss evolution (and, widely, Science) are almost the same ones who are racists, support or tolerate racism.

Besides that, there is no way to find in evolution scientific foundations for racism, as racism is supposed to be an intra species "distinction" (a meaningless one).

@CharlieZ Some would argue that evolution is NOT the cause of racism, However, evolution has been used as a justification for racism

@suchaslife True, had been used.
And also popcorn can be used, with some rethorics, as justification for wars.
For believing that evolution may support racism it´s enough, either a dedicated ignorance about Science or, instead, a twisted political / religious agenda.

@CharlieZ popcorn? I would be damned!

@CharlieZ those who blindly accept theory as fact tend to be the most closed minded people...

Just remember, every time you mock someone who dismisses evolution; So too did people mock Aristotle for dismissing that the Earth was flat, and Nicolaus Copernicus for dismissing heliocentric theory (and it's a forgone conclusion that both were correct...)

@wildbill83 Please take in account some considerations about what Science is (and is not):
- Theory, in Science, is an integral part of the scientific task. It´s causal explanatory aspect.
- Theory is not only not the opposite of facts, but is fact based.
- In the scope of Science there are no absolute permanent assertions. All of them are potentially subject of refutal and replacement.
- But any "interpretation" that is based in self declared non detectable, non meassurable "entities" is not scientific.
- I do not make critics to the ones who dimiss Evolution. What I´ve said is they so not seem able to provide a scientific alternative to it. Being scientific what is based in natural causal foundations detected by systematic research using scientific means.
- I respect the most the right of everyone to have their believes. What their right do not cover is to call scientific to what is faith based. That would be fraudulent.

- Aristóteles was the first formalizer of logic. That was his merit and glory. But, no matter this, no amount of philosophy can do the tasks of Science. Never gave a serious result in millenia.

- Regarding Galileo I suggest to consider his quote: "The Bible shows the way to go to heaven, not the way the heavens go" (not originally from him but a one he used).
