How long has it been, since you opened God's Word? [Spirituality & Religion]

The Word shows a reflection of yourself, and opens your eyes to see where you need help and guidance from the Holy Spirit. It also opens your eyes to see yourself and the world, as God sees it.
God will show you, if you're judgmental and/or controlling. He's ready to help, no matter what the problem. Through the Holy Spirit, you'll receive wisdom, strength, revelation, and power for daily living. His Word carries a Holy Spirit power to change us for the better.
Study helps us to align our understanding of reality, with God’s. It puts things in perspective and guides our lives with infinite wisdom.
Slackness in reading and studying God's Word, leaves one spiritually weak. You've also probably heard the old adage, 'One week without prayer, makes one weak!' That is so true.
As we grow closer to God through His Word, it penetrates our heart and spirit, to help us see more clearly, God’s point of view. His thoughts are not our thoughts, and He told us not to lean to our own understanding, without the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit to interpret the Word.
Jesus said the Word is foolishness to those who do not believe. That is because it takes the Holy Spirit to interpret the Word of God, and that can only happen if you've accepted Jesus as your personal Savior.
Like a miner digging for diamonds we have to do the work. The diamonds are there, but they cannot be found without effort.
I recall Romans 12:2:
"Do not conform any longer to the PATTERN of this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to TEST and APPROVE what God’s WILL is — His good, pleasing and perfect will."
How important is study and instruction?
2 Timothy 2:15 - "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness."
When you speak of lies compiled in God's Word, you must be careful, as your remarks mock the One who gave us God's words and thoughts, delivered to men through the Holy Spirit. The Greek word being "theopneustos", meaning "God-breathed", inspired by God, due to the inspiration of God. Words not entrusted to just any men, but to Christian men of old, to write down under the direction and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Thank God, no one has to know how to read Greek, Hebrew, or any other language, in order to know how to be saved. Scholars have done that for us. Under the direction of men, yes, you're going to find spelling errors, translation errors, what have you, as man is flawed by sin, however, Jesus is without sin, perfect, and flawless. Man has tried to destroy His Word, burn it, deny it, mock it, ridicule it, yet it has survived all the way down through the ages, because the papers may be destroyed, but God and His Word shall never pass away. So while we could dispute these things until we're blue in the face, let us not miss the main theme of the bible, which is how to get to heaven, because if we miss that important truth, we've missed everything. "For what shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, yet loses his own soul?" Mark 8:36
