When is Jesus coming back do you think? [Spirituality & Religion]

@Abbenthewarwolf I think Jesus was talking about the fall of Jerusalem there, not the second coming.

@MrSimons he wasn't talking abt no Jerusalem. He was asked when will the end come? And he did not kn. He said no one knows save the father which he was not. He never claimed to b GOD. A Son of God the only begotten son. But for those who r full of mischief saw fit to make him and God one in the Same. Literally. And that is not what he meant when he said my father and me r the same. Those who without understanding failed to realize he meant we meaning him and the Father was of the same mindset. Those with knowledge and understanding knows that very well.

@Abbenthewarwolf "The end" being the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Jewish temple in AD 70.

The Bible is very clear that Jesus is God, but he was also human. I think not knowing the time of the future destruction was down to the fact that he laid aside His divine attribute, as Paul said in Philippians 2: 7-8:

"Who, being in very nature a God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature b of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!"

@MrSimons if he was God then why did he not kn That? That wasn't what was asked of nothing to do with Jerusalem!!!! And even if it was HE DIDN'T KN. BUT GOD DID AND HE WASN'T GOD. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

@Abbenthewarwolf I would really like you give it a listen. Bible passages have a cultural and historical context to them. You can't just read them in modern English and assume you will be able to understand without digging deeper.

@MrSimons no one said anything abt modern day English. KJV. Or Aremian which one u like?

@Abbenthewarwolf I don't particularly favour any English translation over another. I can't read Hebrew and Greek, but I do look to what Hebrew and Greek Scholars have said about a passage or verse, and I also look into the historical and cultural context. We should ask how the original audience would have understood it, since it was spoken or written to them specifically.
