why do people put a date on Jesus's return? [Spirituality & Religion]

one youtuber is convinced that God will come back on July 17th. she said God told her that. I'm sure she genuinely loves God but since no one knows the hour or day he's coming back I'm kinda skeptical about it. I mean may be he will come back then you never know. I just don't know why she's putting a date on his return.

Many yrs ago my father who is a preacherman informed us that 1988 was the year. He had worked it out beyond a doubt. Weirdly he didn't seem to realise just how arrogant that claim was.
Also, interestingly, Rastafarians claim that the founder of their religion was the 2nd incarnation of Jesus.
If that's true then Christians still on Earth have already missed the bus. 馃檪

@Wraithorn Was he a Jehovah Witness...remember about that time hearing that a group was saying Jesus was going to return then.

I wouldn't fall for it. Seems like she's in a spiritual attack trying to create chaos for others.

Nobody knows when in the time or date or years or whenever of Jesus returning.

@cherokeepatti No. Pentecostal, then 7th day adventist, then Islam, then back to some other form of Christianity. With every change he is certain and not wrong. Truth is he changes when it is convenient and sees an opportunity to take advantage of people.

@Wraithorn My sister does that, she is a narcissist. She is going to a Buddhist temple and and ultra-liberal church now, she claims she is both Christian and Buddhist.
