Why do atheists need churches?
This feels like a vegetarian creating better veggie meat 🤔
Hehe, if you have christians trying to figure or unfigure out "atheism" by using the bible. Why not ask them how real the bible is. There are quite a few historians that research the validity of the bible, and how it came to be. What stories are in there, and where they came from. The moment you can point out that the "bible" isn't a valid dataset, theology become what it actually is... a study of literature.
Go to youtube, and look up some intervieuws with: Francesca Stavrakopoulou. She will give you some more sources if you are intrested in researching the bible. You can also read Jack Miles book "God: A Biography" (which is actually a literature study of the character of God in the concept of the bible). Francesca is quite the intresting character, and has a way more subtle approach which I prefer more then Richard Dawkins. Her intervieuws in the series "the big questions" are also really nice. I actually can only advice people to watch every episode of that show that you can find, since it invites people from all believe systems and gives everyone the opportunity to express their believes without shouting. It's quite enlightening if you hear all the voices and try to figure out why they say what they say.
