I'm an atheist and I live in a very catholic community, how can I be open about my beliefs without them throwing holy holy water at me? [Spirituality & Religion]

You don't have a reason to be open with them.
Depending on what you mean.
If you mean expressing it and sharing it with them, only do it if asked.
Otherwise it makes no sense to even bother馃
Same with if this question were reversed.
"Im a catholic living in an atheist community, how can I be open about my beliefs without them hating me?"
No one cares what you believe in the end.Unless they really tell you they do.
Be open with those who actually want you around.
Its unlikely they will take kindly to you being open about your beliefs and making them wonder what your intentions are(why is this person telling me about this when I dont believe in it?) just as you would be.
@SW-User Sometimes in communities where the majority of people have the same beliefs, they just kind of assume that everyone they meet in their community shares their beliefs, too. You don't have to be directly talking about politics or religion for people to get the impression that you're athiest, christian, etc. especially when you're the odd one out.
People can feel like their beliefs are being attacked when they are used to everyone agreeing with them and your opinions challenge theirs. It can be very tricky indeed.

@AmbivalentFriability Honestly there are people who will dislike you for being Who you are and there is no solution for that except to avoid them and remove them from your life.

@AmbivalentFriability Instead of dealing with them if thats the case.Because its just never going to work.馃槀
