Do you believe we have free will? [Spirituality & Religion]

@SW-User We have rebellion though

@SW-User well, obviously there are limitations to free will, but some people in determinism or fatalism that says we have no free will at all.

@Quizzical Where does this rebellion go though? Who really pulls the strings? What agendas?
More often than not it is a facade.

@basilfawlty89 Well, those are extremists. People who want to die because their favourite movie didn't do well ... kind of people. That is a psychology issue.

@Quizzical 😂 Eh. Who cares if we throw tantrums at home? We still have to abide by what we are dictated by.

@SW-User I'd personally say I believe balanced view, we have some free will, but we also have nature's that we won't normally act out of.

@SW-User We don't actually. We can throw off our programming, we have the will to do so. We just fear the consequences.

@basilfawlty89 Free will would mean doing whatever we want, whenever, however, without any consideration of consequences. On that basis, I think it is an illusion. But there is some free will we exercise, within the boundaries. We adjust to those boundaries. And that is what makes it an illusion to me.

@Quizzical And that fear of consequence is real. Lol. Which is our boundary.

@SW-User But fears can be overcome, and boundaries can be broken.

We only allow ourselves to be constrained, and as [b]we[/b] allow it we are the ones with the free will and self-determination.

@Quizzical What stops me is not wanting to be in prison, and also not to taint my morality. So..I think we can disagree on this.
