This post has been extremely interesting and entertaining. Godspeed63, you deserve lots of kudos for starting such a mother of a discussion. Well done !

@Wraithorn
Thank you, my friend, I appreciate it.
I don't mind what or who he is. Anyone who reads through the thousands of replies in this post is going to receive food for thought whether they are theist or atheist.
Thank you, my friend, I appreciate it.

@Wraithorn Exception made of some ocassional commnets, I am no more following this thread, or not closely.
There is no way to communicate when there are no some basic common assumptions, not even the definition of key words.
We have here two conceptions of Science.
The Science that scientists do.
The "science" that the religious ones assert it is or should be.
When debating Science and Religión together (as if they deppend on each other), there is a small place to say something about both that is not solely shallow speculative rethorics.

@Carazaa As I´m not an atheist, I´m worried that Speedy and Hippy´s speeches are near the best atheist makers.
They do a bad favor to faith. And no harm to Science cos they would not recognize it, not even if in front of their eyes.
Thank you for caring.
And if you consider it twice, you will see that I´m also caring for Speedy! The best gift for someone is something that he lacks of.

@Carazaa @DunDunDun @CharlieZ @GodSpeed63 and others...
Im not trying to insert myself in the argument or point any fingers but one interesting thing I see in replies is :
The people with good intentions are trying to better other people's condition in life by trying to make them think as they do. ☮️

@Wraithorn A bona fide but also a too eclectic assertion.
If someone tries to subordinate one strong source of human´s freedom and dignity, as Science is, to the rule and supervission of wordviews that are respectable but not instrinsically needed for it, I will say:
"I appreciate your kindness, but you can keep it in it´s scope or wherever you make it fit but do not mess with Science."
"Else, I´ll find it an insult and answer according to that"
I´ll never disrespect religious believes, I have my own ones.
But when someones intents to redefine what Science, Math, Logic are and historically had been, for the sake of a political and philosophical agenda alien to Science, I say: Hands out, no way.

@Carazaa Caraza, I do not contend nor debate with your said purpose.
I have no problems if you do that.
Is about faith and your personal experiences.
Something I respect.
But there are a pair of guys here that assert that for being christian is a need to believe that ID is Science (and it´s not) and that they know about math, logic and science (what they have shown they do not) better than the ones that daily work on math, logic and science, making them BE.
And insulting the people who do not agree with their nonsense.
I´ll say it: not you, but those guys are not only aggresive ignorants.
They neither are honest, ethical people.

We love because He first loved us, we live because He, the one true God, breathed life into us.
Yeah we should we be pretty ashamed of ourselves purely for existing shouldn't we
