It really doesn't tho
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@DunDunDun Actually it does. Only the dullards don't recognize design when they see it. A goodly number of scientists who deny God admit that there certainly seems to be design at work. Then they deny it based on their apriori reasoning. In other words they see the design and they recognize the design but their 'religion' keeps them from believing there is a Designer so they deny the design. Francis Crick and Fred Hoyle to name just two.

@hippyjoe1955 nah you're just a bit brainwashed
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@DunDunDun Nope. I just read more than you. Crick and Hoyle both admitted that there appeared to be design even as they denied the Designer. One of those little quirks that atheists try to hide away and call the other side out of touch with reality. Nothing to see here folks move along. The atheist thought police have declared their tautology fact.

That isn’t anywhere near as laughable as recognising design when they don’t see it.

On which... are you ready to discuss emergent design yet?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2 Oh look the Saturn visiting troll is back on. She who thinks contrails are jet engine exhaust plumes. Too Funny! Move along little girl this discussion is way above your level of understanding.

@DunDunDun
It really doesn't tho
Why's that?
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 Little girl? Her age says she's in her 50's lol. Why are you attacking her as a person instead of responding to her statements?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@DunDunDun And she debates like a teenager. Her grasp of facts reminds me of a school girl.
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
@hippyjoe1955 Yeah..you seem like the kind of guy who knows a lot about the school girls...

It's his only argument. He knows he can't logically refute what she says so his reduced to throwing insults about. You may have noticed several christian creationists employing the same tactic.

He's just returning the courtesy is all but he ought to know better than that.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@GodSpeed63 Know better than what. You can not argue logic with someone who is illogical any more than you can discuss philosophy with a gnat.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955
I already know the truth, pity you don't.
True, but Jesus loved those who verbally attacked Him. Remember what Paul said about returning evil with good. These people don't what they're saying and they've already lost the arguments before they even start because of the lies they believe in. Remember, truth wins out in any argument, so why rub salt on their wounds?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@GodSpeed63 Are we not called to be the 'salt of the earth'? What good is salt if it loses its saltiness? Sometimes a little salt in the wound makes you aware that you are wounded.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955
Are we not called to be the 'salt of the earth'?
Sure we are but we don't take it further than God intended it to go.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@GodSpeed63 How do we know what is too far? I follow the example of Jesus who did not suffer fools gladly. He called them nasty names and pointed out their foolishness.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955
How do we know what is too far?
4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
Lest you also be like him. Proverbs 26:4

They're not worth you being like them.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@GodSpeed63 So Jesus should not have called hypocrites hypocrites? Jesus shouldn't have compared non believers to dogs and swine?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955
So Jesus should not have called hypocrites hypocrites?
He named those religious people right because that's how they presented themselves but He never went further than that.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@GodSpeed63 Actually He did. He called money changers thieves as He chased them out of the Temple with a whip. Now let us stop the circular firing squad and start using our ammo on the enemy and not on our brothers. You don't like the way I express myself? I don't care. As St Paul said Romans 14:4 "Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand." I don't answer to you and you have no place judging me. I do as I am led by the Spirit and I can only trust that you are doing the same.
