Do you think the forbidden fruit was a psychedelic? [Spirituality & Religion]

Often depicted as an apple, or sometimes a pomegranate for being a 'love fruit', I believe if there was truly a forbidden fruit it must have been a psychadelic. "The serpent said to the woman 'For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.'”

Hummm, and psychedelics are still forbidden, maybe you are on to something.
"The whole foundation of Christianity is based on the idea that intellectualism is the work of the Devil.

Remember the apple on the tree? Okay, it was the Tree of Knowledge. "You eat this apple, you're going to be as smart as God. We can't have that."

@PhoenixPhail What little experience I've had with psychedelics, you usually come back with newfound perspectives. I think psychedelics help introduce us to the truth of non-duality, that there is no one without the other, by which merit we are one and the same thing (insert hippie rant about the world being one). Realization of this is my interpretation of what is meant by 'becoming one with god'.
@ash365 Timothy Leary couldn't have said it better.
