Is it logically possible that the Bible is not true with all the fulfilled prophesies? [Spirituality & Religion]

The Bible is God's word and there are so many prophesies that have been fulfilled.

A Statistical Improbability

Some Bible scholars suggest there are more than 300 prophetic Scriptures completed in the life of Jesus. Circumstances such as his birthplace, lineage, and method of execution were beyond his control and could not have been accidentally or deliberately fulfilled.

In the book Science Speaks, Peter Stoner and Robert Newman discuss the statistical improbability of one man, whether accidentally or deliberately, fulfilling just eight of the prophecies Jesus fulfilled. The chance of this happening, they say, is 1 in 1017 power. Stoner gives an illustration that helps visualize the magnitude of such odds:

Suppose that we take 1017 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man, from their day to the present time, providing they wrote using their own wisdom.

The mathematical improbability of 300, or 44, or even just eight fulfilled prophesies of Jesus stands as evidence to his messiahship.

That's great. But can you explain why dinosaurs weren't mentioned in Bible. Or humans evolved from apes. Or earth is round and it's revolving around Sun? Also if Christ is only true God, why is there other religions exist in the world?
Carazaa · F
@JBird
The reason is because The Bible is a love story from God to us. Jesus, God almighty, came down to save us from death. He takes all our sins on his shoulders so we can live and don't have to be punished.

There is only one God who answers prayers.

Jesus says, "No one comes to the Father but through me?
"I AM the way, the truth, the Life" He is the great Jehovah, the great I AM.
JBird · F
@Carazaa oh, really, if God really loved us, where was he when millions of innocent died in war, murder and rape?
Carazaa · F
@JBird He explains that in the Bible. Did you read it?
JBird · F
@Carazaa do you care to quote the verse again please?
Carazaa · F
This is only understood if you read all of the Bible, and understand God and his laws.
"All have gone astray, and have come short of His glory"
JBird · F
@Carazaa I did. And frankly I don't agree with some of verses and the ones you just said. "all gone astray". Are you saying that those innocent people died because they asked for it?
Carazaa · F
@JBird Sorry, it is difficult to understand how sinful we are and how Holy God is and he does not tolerate even one sin. That is why Jesus came to die for all of us to take our sin away. He cursed ALL humanity. All will die. But he does hear prayer from the Godly who have faith, only if you are born again does God hear your prayers and will answer all of them.
Carazaa · F
@JBird You don't have to agree with God. He isn't asking your or my opinion. He is God! He loves you, and wants you to have faith!
JBird · F
@Carazaa yeah god is so loving that he thinks we're so sinful and deserve to die, not only that he cursed us. Great logic.
JBird · F
@Carazaa sounds like your God is a violent person.
Carazaa · F
@JBird God is not a person. He died for humanity because he loves us. We are hopeless without Jesus.
Wow! You’ve got that completely turned around. If it wasn’t for the love of Jesus and His plan of salvation to erase our sins, we’d all go to Hell. That sure doesn’t describe someone who is violent or out to “get us”. Read John 3:16 Explain how that is violent. @JBird
@JBird - Exodus 20:11 “For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

If God created everything in six days, then dinosaurs existed.

Since the word “dinosaur” wasn’t actually coined until 1841, the creatures we now refer to as dinosaurs were simply called dragons throughout most of history. Not only does the Bible use the word “dragon” repeatedly, 21 times in the Old Testament and 12 times in the Book of Revelations, the Book of Job describes creatures called Behemoth and Leviathan, large, reptilian beasts, like dinosaurs. (See the Book of Job, chapters 40 and 41.)

Job 40:15-19 “Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach
unto him.”

In Hebrew, the word “Behemoth” translates as “gigantic beast.” For this animal to be described by God as “the chief,” it must surely have been a huge and magnificent sight!
Jbird
@Carazaa sounds like your God is a violent person.
God is fair. Sin is not. It brings death. Not Jesus. Jesus is the remedy to do away with sin, so you and I can have eternal life in heaven. Unless we’d like the alternative.

@LadyGrace Good points, all of them, and I agree wholeheartedly. Add me if you want.
JBird · F
@LadyGrace wow, you're sinned? Why are Christians so guilty of themselves? Lol
@JBird You make no sense. Everyone in the world has sinned. I'm not feeling guilty. I live according to God's Word. My sins have been forgiven by Jesus and remembered no more. There's no condemnation from God for followers of Christ.
JBird · F
@LadyGrace you make no sense either. How can a person sinned if they haven't done anything wrong?
JBird · F
@LadyGrace so you can't be sinned if you are following God's word. That's sounds more like guilt tripping you into joining a cult. Lol
Carazaa · F
@JBird to answer why there are other religions in the world- This is what I think after studying many, People know in their hearts that they are sinners and that they need to please God somehow to earn his favor. Therefore every people in the world come up with their own religious rituals for their gods. Satan is also deceiving many with false Christs. Satan is an angel of light that comes to deceive humans.

Every religion has sacrifices to god. But we can't reach God on our own, so God came to us, Jesus, and did away with the sacrifices and paid our debt in full. But God is not only calling religions "gods" but anything we put before God. We can "worship" alcohol" or a number of things. According to God all of these are feudal because they don't answer our prayers, give us protection, and they all kill in the end.
JBird · F
@Carazaa 'every religion have sacrifices'? I can give you names of religions that doesn't have sacrifices.

Just because some people don't follow Christ that doesn't mean they're following Satan. It's almost like badmouthing about something that you don't like. Those people who are not Christians are living happily as much as you claim for Christians. Therefore, Christianity is not the only true path of good life. If you feel Christianity is good for you, congratulations but don't be an idiot to go around and tell their religion is false. Take respect give respect
Carazaa · F
@JBird I try to be respectful, but it is a serious thing who we worship because God warns the consequences for worshipping other gods, idols, or his creation. I am here because I care. I don't mean to be disrespectful but these are my opinions. My whole life is dedicated to help people find happiness. Are you happy? Does your god answer your prayers?
JBird · F
@Carazaa I am happy. I am happy even without prayers or fear of being "sinned". I am happy because I don't have to be scared to take decisions without being "cursed" by Gods. I am happy that I am free of all those sh*t from Bible. I don't have to prayer for things as long as I do good and work hard. One of the times I am not happy is when people telling me that I am 'sinned' and go to hell because I am not a Christian. You know what, I hate being a Christian. I love being agnostic. There I said it.

I met many people who are living happily without Christian or worshipping idols even if it's stupid. You don't have to go around and tell them it's wrong because they are not. If your life is dedicated to helping people, then you have to stop offending their religion if they're okay with it. If you have your opinions, keep it with yourself. I don't go around telling people there's no God. It's my opinion and my own. Period.
Carazaa · F
@JBirdOk then!
Pfuzylogic · M
@JBird You are proselytizing now if you can’t detect it.
