Why do people get into atheism? [Spirituality & Religion]

I few years ago I moved town and I started hanging round with Atheists. I guess I was just trying to fit in I guess but pretty soon I decided I didnt like being Atheist and it made me feel silly. Looking back, it was justa phase I was going through. Why do atheists do it?

This is a response after you evaluate the proofs presented by theists. The claim of theists is that there is a god, but I was never presented with enough evidence in order to believe that. As it was already pointed out, this is not a decision, you do not choose any of your beliefs. You either believe it or not. I heard so many religious people talking about atheists as rebels or similar - it is not a rebellion, that is just a nonsense claim. We strongly believe (and i must say i also have good evidence) that the foundation upon which the religions have been built is really bad, and in many cases the religion prevents humans to feel and care for each other properly.
