Which would you think is a harder choice? Becoming an atheist as a kid/teen or becoming one as an adult? [Spirituality & Religion]

I decided to stop believing in God at an early age. Probably about 10 or younger. Problem is that my impending doom totally freaked me out as a kid. Thinking about how I would no longer exist at a certain point in the future.

I've come to terms with it now. I was just wondering about people that became atheist later on in life. How did it make you feel?

I didn't decide to stop believing. I stopped believing because the claim that a god exists has not met its burden of proof and the evidence we can examine very noticeably contradicts what we would expect to find if a god existed.

Maybe a god exists but it is just a super being and we are of no more interest to it than the average pebble is to us. In that case there's no reason to act as though one exists at all let alone worship it.
