Life after death and judgement when? [Spirituality & Religion]

When Christ was crucified, one of the thieves had asked Jesus why he did not save himself as he had done nothing wrong to deserve crucifixion. Jesus answered him by saying that he would be with him in heaven that day.
Christ also stated in His teachings that you must be born again and if you confessed your sins and believed in His forgiveness of sins, you would have everlasting life after death. Christ also said that it is natural for us to die, then judgement, but the gift of life is eternal for those who believe in Him.
Now, in the book of Revelations, when Christ returns to earth, (His second coming,) it states that the dead in Christ shall rise from the grave.
Question 1. Assuming you are born again, have followed and believed in Christ's teachings, etc., when you physically die and are buried, do you, (your soul,) go to heaven immediately?
Question 2. If so, are you judged by God then or must one wait until Christ returns and are risen from the grave before you are judged and able to enter Heaven?

What Christ said is a misentepretarion...
Christ taught that people will be resurrected in a future resurrection.. old languages such as Hebrew and Greek find not have punctuation.. so when they were translated into modern languages, the comma was put in the wrong place.

It should actually state
I truly tell you today, you will be with me in paradise..

This is what Christ taught, and it’s verified in the Bible in the scriptures relating to the death and raising of Lazarus. (Can’t think of the actual scripture) when he asked lazeruses sister if she believed she would see him again.. and she replied yes, that she would see him in the coming resurrection sometime in the future, to which Christ doesn’t correct her or tell her she’s wrong.. because that’s exactly what he taught to be true.. another scripture references that no one has been to heaven except he who came down from heaven..
Christ taught 3 resurrections....
The first is the one you mentioned. Those who truly believed and followed Christ as the word in the Old Testament such as Abraham David and Moses...and those who truly follow and obey his teachings as Christ . This is Not a large number of people mind you, 99% of people who’ve claimed to be Christian will not be in this resurrection... these are the true believers not the fakes...
The second resurrection happens at the end of a thousand year reign of Christ on this earth. All people who ever lived will be in this resurrection.
They will all be taught the right way to live without satan influencing things.. everyone will be made whole, the dumb will be healed, those who lived their first life handicapped and diseased will be healed as well.. the Bible doesn’t say how long, but I’d assume a lifetime they will be given a chance to learn the right way..
At some point, satan is loosed again to test mankind.. and millions will still reject god, who are then killed in a great battle..
A third resurrection is then done known as the great white throne judgment. Again those who have died are resurrected, but this time all those both living and those just resurrected are judged both great and small. Those who learned god’s ways and have shown they can handle the power and responsibility of being in god’s family are turned to spirit, and those who had resisted god are mercifully destroyed forever..

@Deadcutie Thank you for your answer and comments. You have certainly given me more to think about and consider. I will have to do more research on this.
