With all the fighting and purging in the name of religion....is religion causing more harm than good? And should it be banned?

Any time you look at religious conflict and dig deep enough, there's someone making money. That's the real root cause.

@CountScrofula was it money that sparked the modern day jihad in the late 1970s? No it wasn't. The modern jihadist movement emerged when several groups began campaigns to overthrow the Arab World's regimes and establish Islamic states.
