Spoken like someone without teenagers...
My son has a certain amount of freedom, but still has rules he has to follow. I am not going to chain him down or lock him away to prevent him from breaking those rules. But if he does, there are consequences.

@JovialPlutonian that depends upon what he did and how severe it was. Same as with any parent out there. (Or at least any GOOD parent out there.)
