Dear athiests and "scientists" [Spirituality & Religion]

You guys are really annoying, Not only do you guys just bash on everything that your peers haven't written, you are so quick to say "oh that doesn't exist it can't happen" as opposed to what a real scientist would do, and inquire. NOTHING shall be said no to, even if current stuff doesn't show, as no one knows this world 100% to say such a thing. Quite foolish to keep spouting the "oh that's not real" crap when you're not even going to take a look at it, instead rely on the stuff people in the past wrote.

No atheist or scientist I have hard about had tried to ram their science or belief down the throat of other. Newton didn't ring doorbells to tell about gravity.

@Inquisator

Scientists (even Newton) publish papers and books. These books and papers are actively read in the field. And they are either adopted or refuted. It's not that Newton wrote down his theories and put them on the shelf in the hope something will happen with them.

People also don't post these messages in some random vacuum. It's posted in a place called "Spirituality and Religion" and the author of the original post adressed it to "science" and "atheists".

In short: what are you trying to say?

Publishing credible research for others to read at their choosing is hardly comparable to bible thumpers knocking on my door on Saturday morning peddling their brainwashing book of bigotry and hate. Not even in the same universe. @Kwek00

I still don't understand the original remark. So I don't get what the person is willing to say. That question is still open, since it all feels really random.

I also did not deny that certain groups of people do push things down peoples throats. Because they are actively trying to change your mind in a form of activism.

But most people like myself, will not be knocking on your door in the morning asking if you have heared about "evolution". Neither will most people (not all) start conversations about believe or the evidence of believe in random toppics.

Those that do however... are ussually activists (like believers) that are trying to sell you something or make you aware of something. A lot of people that do activism are harmless and do it for all kinds of reason, but each movement has a hardcore radicalised elite that drives the movement. You kinda have to be if you wake up at 6 in the morning to dress up right and ring at peoples door to adress what ever toppic that maybe.

Not once in my life have I ever seen some looney standing on a street corner with atheist signs lambasting believers. I’ve never seen anybody knocking on doors to preach atheism. I can’t say the same about Christians. Since moving down to the Bible Belt, I’ve twice had unsolicited knocks on my door from religious nuts trying
to sell me their crap. @Kwek00

Seems we agree then? Means we are cool?
