Quran (4:34) - "Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great."

The Quran is not written in English as u know it’s in Arabic. Like other languages in Arabic we have certain words which have multiple meaning. The word Adriboo (root: daraba): to beat, to strike, to hit, to separate, to part. Therefore, a more accurate and consistent translation of the above verse would be: 
(4:34) [...]as for those women whose animosity or ill-will you have reason to fear, then leave them alone in bed, and then separate; and if thereupon they pay you heed, do not seek a way against them.

@Ainny It says the same thing in Arabic! I've studied since September 12th 2001! You have taken part out.

@Ainny It's not what I wish to believe. it's the truth. Just like Surah 8:12 and 160 other verses like it!

The Quran has been translated by many people according to their knowledge and convenience. I have seen many versions of it. Not all of it is the truth.

@Ainny I look at the things that happen regularly in Islamic states, and I look at the verses of the Quran and the Hadiths, and it makes sense that innocent people are blown to smithereens every day, and women are executed for being raped, and people are killed for renouncing Islam, or thrown off of buildings or hung or beheaded on a regular basis because things that are accepted and protected in this country. The foundation of the Quran is world domination. It says several times the main objective is the Islamization of the whole world. 1400 years have proven that. 120 million Africans, 80 million Hindus. 60 million Christians, and 10 million Buddhist -more than this- have been murdered to spread Islam all over the world. Interestingly enough, the people that Muslims have murdered more than any other, is other Muslims, and that started within 30 years of Mohammed's death. Every three days, for the last 40 years the body count of Muslim on Muslim brutality has been in the hundreds. Don't you see something wrong with that?
Did you see the murder of sister Farkhunda? These were moderate Muslims in an Islamic state that did this.
She praised Allah with her last breath, but the people were drunk with blood lust.

@puck61 No religion teaches violence be it Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity or Judaism. Yet we find people from all these sects killing in the name of their religion. Rise above religion and think about humanity. Millions of people were killed in the First and Second World War, the holocaust, people being killed in Africa, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Myanmar. I don’t even want to know people from which religion did this or are still doing it. What’s matters is that innocent lives are lost and it’s shameful. Please don’t drag any religion when it comes to violence. I don’t want to argue on this topic. Much love and respect. ✌🏻
