Why Is It So Hard? [Spirituality & Religion]

Why is it so hard for skeptics to believe that Yahweh, the God who lives forever, is God? What's the big deal?

I don't believe in God for the same reason you don't believe in Vishnu.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CountScrofula Vishnu is a created being, God, Yahweh, was and never will a created being. He is the one true God who lives forever which is why I believe in Him.

@GodSpeed63 Your "god jehovah/yahweh" thing is a created being.

You know better than that, Suzie Q.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 I happen to know I'm right about that.

@suzie1960
I happen to know I'm right about that.
How do you know you're right about that?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 The Flying Spaghetti Monster told me so it must be true. Quob can't lie.

How old are you really? You don't sound like an adult.

@CountScrofula I'm sure the followers of Vishnu would say that their's is the one true religion. I just wonder if they also have apologists like GodSpeed63 on their team?
Bushranger · 70-79, M
Actually, I should withdraw that last, since Vishnu is part of Hinduism. I'm pretty sure that the practice in that religion is considered more important than the belief in Gods. Perhaps some Christians would be better served by observing good practices as opposed to having unconditional belief.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 No different for you claiming your imaginary friend spoke to you. You certainly don't sound like an adult, unless it's senility setting in.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M

There is a difference, God, Yahweh, lives forever and none of us made Him up. Your monster was made up by your cohorts some years back.

Wrong way around. The Flying Spaghetti Monster lives forever but has only recently made itself known to us; your "god jehovah/yahweh" thing was made up by primitive desert dwellers some centuries back.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960
Wrong way around.
Again, you need support for that your claim.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 Why? You never present any evidence to support your claims. How about doing so now? Present some evidence to support your claim that your made up "god jehovah/yahweh" live forever, or has ever existed at all. If you don't it will be obvious you're applying the usual christian double standards again.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960
You never present any evidence to support your claims.
You know better than that, Suzie Q. You're just stalling.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 Thank you for proving my point. As you have once again failed to present any evidence, it's obvious you're applying double standards.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960
Thank you for proving my point.
What point would that be?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 Your night sedation must be taking effect. You have proven my point that you apply double standards.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960
Your night sedation
What night sedation would that be?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 Ask matron.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960 Who's Matron?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 Oh dear, you really have lost it. Must be your age. :(
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960
you really have lost it.
Wishful thinking but I've never heard of Matron.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 That doesn't surprise me. You possibly think of her as mummy.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960
You possibly think of her as mummy.
For your information, my mother died in 2005 and my dad died in 1989. How are your folks doing?
