Why Is It So Hard? [Spirituality & Religion]

Why is it so hard for skeptics to believe that Yahweh, the God who lives forever, is God? What's the big deal?

@Underconstruction God did not create evil to over come man but created it for man to over come.

@GodSpeed63 So he gives children bone cancer because he likes to test us?

If God is real he should be fired for cruelty.

@ThatCommieChick I go to the Bakunin quote.

"... if God really existed, it would be necessary to abolish him."
@ThatCommieChick Exactly. SMH 🙄. What is it with these people, really?

You have said previously that evil was created by humans. Now you are saying that God created it. Which one is it?

I suppose that one could say that, by creating humans, God essentially created evil since God knew that Eve would succumb to temptation in the Garden. This is especially so given that, due to the concept of creation by an omniscient creator, humans can have no free will.

I never said evil was created by humans but it was their stupidity that brought evil on themselves.

@GodSpeed63 So God did create sin.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 Hang on:
Homosexuality came as part of the plague of sin and not from God, who created us in His image and likeness.
So now God didn't create sin?

Seems to be some conflicting comments here. It would be nice to have the position clarified.

@Bushranger
So now God didn't create sin?
You got that right.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 But you said in the post that I quoted above, that the "plague of sin..." was not from God.

And if God was fully omniscient He would have been aware that humans would sin. By allowing that to happen, He effectively created sin.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger
By allowing that to happen, He effectively created sin.
Wrong, God didn't sin in us, He created free will in us.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 You have provided two conflicting statement regarding the origin of sin, so can you understand my dilemma?

As I said before, if God is truly omniscient He would have been aware that Eve was going to sin when he first thought of creating the world. If He allowed that trait to remain in His creation, then He effectively created sin. Eve, unfortunately, had no choice in the matter. God's creation included her acts because God was fully aware of what was going to happen.

I provided no conflicting statements. You just misunderstood what I was telling you. Forgive me if I didn't make my self clear on that subject.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 Now's your chance to clarify your position then.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger I just clarified it, why do I need to clarify it again? Weren't you paying attention?
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 You admitted that you didn't make yourself clear, my friend.

In one statement you say that God didn't create evil, then in another you say that He did. Don't you see how confusing this is?

The first comment indicates that God created evil for man to over come. The second that God didn't create sin, but because we have what you call free will, it allows humans to sin, meaning that for sin to occur under these circumstances would mean that humans created sin.
