Should i be concerned that my boyfriend is agnostic? [Spirituality & Religion]

Sicarium · 46-50, M Best Comment
I can't know the answer to that, so don't have an opinion either way.

No but he should be concerned that you are getting advice from people on SW 😂

Should I be concerned that you’re religious?
Perhaps, if you observe religion, want to raise your potential children in the faith or even want to marry in a religious ceremony...
PrivatePeeks · 26-30, F
Agnostics always lean one way or the other. Find out which way he leans.
I'm concerned you're asking strangers this question
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@BeefySenpie fair enough.
Character is important, not religious belief or the absence of it.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Noble of you to think of your BF and to have him in the hereafter but Jesus told us that in Heaven we neither marry nor are given in marriage. We will be like the angels. That aside Paul told us to not be unevenly hitched. Many marriages end because religion becomes more important than the nearly weds ever thought it would be.
@hippyjoe1955 I wish you wouldn't snipe at atheists (in another thread). That's their job

I got no answer for this

Personally, I'd be concerned if he wasn't an agnostic atheist
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2 Being an evangelical atheist no one would expect anything less from you. Foolish but consistent.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955 Interesting... what do you mean by 'evangelical'?
JonathanC · 61-69, M
He should be concerned if you are not an agnostic or atheist and quite frankly ought to find someone else.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
He believes in God. That a great beginning. 😊
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@SimplyTracie he believes in a higher power, not nesisarily God
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@melissa001 Oh okay. What exactly is a higher power?
NewBeginnings7790 · 41-45, F
That’s something only you can decide, but that wouldn’t matter so much to me.
Shayla · F
That probably depends on if religion is extremely important to you.

No big deal
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
Why would that be concerning?
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
@melissa001 which religion are you faithful to?
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit I'm Catholic
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
@melissa001 in terms of a possible marriage I always thought it was only until death not after as well. Or do you just mean you hope you’ll be able to visit each other along with all the other saved souls in heavenly eternity? Either way I understand loving someone so much you never want to be without them. Doing so would cause an emptiness, deep sadness & loneliness. But we all say a last goodbye at some point to our loved ones, it’s why cherishing them now makes so much sense. Love him now, live it up together. We can’t control beyond that.
