No one knows who God is unless he reveals Himself to an individual. Most of us wouldn;t believe it if a person swears he or she saw God. It;s like people saying they saw a UFO....same analogy. We will only know when we die what happens to us.
@caesar7 That was the reason for God's Word. He didn't leave us to guess how to reach heaven, or what happens when we die. It answers all those questions for us. That is, for those who choose to believe.

The Bible is as up to date as tomorrow's newspaper. Whatever was prophesied (to date) has come to past, just as future prophesies shall. That is because God knows the future. It was not by accident that they came true. This tells us the bible is "God breathed". No fortune teller or any other literature or historic figure is capable of such wisdom and knowledge of the future. Studying God's Word is so amazing.

God told us what to do to have eternal life right now, as one cannot make that decision after they die. Jesus said so.
