Really, we need religion in order to believe in God? [Spirituality & Religion]

Who, in their right mind, would think such thing?

@TAReturns I don't know because when I was going to church they were saying that Christianity wasn't a religion and that is ridiculous it is to a religion

According to whom?
@GodSpeed63 The dictionary. And the Bible.

@GodSpeed63 according to the definitions of what a religion is and I'm not going to argue this with you I know I will get nowhere because we're not talking facts here we're talking beliefs and that's perfectly fine if you want to believe that a religion that has a named deity and a holy book is not a religion... okay, go ahead it's your life.
I'm not saying you have to be religious and believe in a god but Christianity is a religion.

Where?
@GodSpeed63
It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, and many nations shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore; but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever.

For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"),yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
False Gods and True Gods, false beliefs and true beliefs all fall under the term belief.

Religion from Latin religionem
"respect for what is sacred, reverence for the gods; conscientiousness, sense of right, moral obligation; fear of the gods; divine service, religious observance; a religion, a faith, a mode of worship, cult; sanctity, holiness,"
It talks about separating the one true God from the false gods. The false gods require religious practices, the one true God does not.

Still, it talks about the one true God and the false religious gods of the pagans.
