As the other commenter mentioned, Genesis can be taken literally. I think the most difficult/secret thing in there is the mystery of how God creates everything from nothing, that all existence is contingent upon Him but He is not contingent upon everything. This is my own opinion and may be completely wrong but I think that Jesus was in the Garden of Eden because Genesis 3: 8 says that Adam and Eve heard the sound of God walking about in the garden. If Jesus is God who became man and was there in the beginning with God as John 1 says, then it makes sense that he would be able to walk among Adam and Eve in the Garden. I think that verse also confirms that we are truly made in the physical image of God. Because if God was walking in the Garden then that means he had legs, just like those that he gave Adam and Eve. @AgapeLove

That is very insightful and I would agree with your assessment of God in the garden.

I think the Poster is looking for something besides Truth here.

Jesus told the Pharisees and Scribes...”before Abraham was, I am”.
The Trinity in its fullness was at the Creation.

Very True. And as I mentioned earlier, John 1 says “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through Him” The universe was created through the spoken word of God. I feel that John is saying that Jesus is the Word of God made into flesh. If that’s the case, then Jesus has always existed since the beginning of time because If He is God’s word, then He IS God. So yes, that’s why I think Jesus was in the Garden even though Jesus wasn’t formally born until the New Testament.
