Jesus warns, be careful of those who profess to be a born again believer, yet deceive many, as their “walk” does not match their “talk”. [Spirituality & Religion]

These are nothing but false teachers. Want to see if they are real? Just check their profile groups, language, and how they speak to people here, and you’ll soon see that their life, actions, and speech, do not match up with God’s Word. However, also be aware that some speak like angels, hoping to lure people into their hidden agenda, such as pedophiles, rapists, and even killers. Not all the time, but they’re out there...and here. Just be watchful. I’ve come across two this week, and they quickly turned tail. I’m sure there are more.

Further, not all ministers on tv are phony’s, so we must be careful not to put all in the same group, but it is disgusting that too many are, which turns so many away from Christ, for good. Don’t worry. God will not be mocked, regarding all mentioned above. They shall definitely reap what they sow. It is a most grievous offense to misrepresent God or pretend to be a good minister of God. They greatly underestimate God’s patience and tolerance. Here’s what He has to say about that:

Matthew 18:6 - "If anyone causes one of these little ones--those who believe in me--to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.“

Matthew 7:15 - "Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves."

Colossians 2:8 - "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Jesus Christ."

Isaiah 5:20 - “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

There’s another side to this coin, as well. God tells hearers not to harden their hearts against God, even if they should hear false teachers, because each and every one of us are responsible for our own life, and shall give an account for it before God one day. In other words, don’t worry or fret about what other people do...just make sure you are right with God...the others will have to answer to God for themselves, anyway, just as you will.

Last, but not least, and as mentioned above, I want to reiterate that you must be careful what gospel you accept...Jesus said so. By that, He’s talking about such things as going to a church that teaches anything other than the gospel of Christ...checking the minister’s words against the Bible, or anyone else’s words, that you run into, or wherever you are. Jesus said to test the words of a minister...check their words out against His Word. If they don’t match up, they are false teachers.

What about the Quran? GOD said we only need one Book to guide us, and that is the one who is like no other and aptly named, The Book of Life, as it brings pure unadulterated Life to you. While Islam’s use the Quran, their teachings insist that Allah is the only true God, yet falsely teach that anyone who says Jesus is the Son of God will be condemned! (Qur'an, 5:72, 9:30). Though they won’t tell you this, they do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah; only a a good messenger. Folks, I make no apology...that is false teaching. Jesus came to save....not condemn. He is not willing that any perish. He proved that on the cross. Anyone can certainly claim anything...that’s for sure...but what did Jesus say about such people?

Galatians 1:8 - “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.!” Again...will you trust God or man?

Why Jesus?

Because if you want access to the Heavenly Father, you’ll have to do so through His Son, Jesus. He is our only Mediator between God and man. This means that those who reject Christ’s standard to receive salvation, will not be included. Man doesn’t set the standards...God does.

The behavior and character of the mythological gods is vastly different from the Christian God. The gods are usually depicted as selfish, arrogant, sadistic, lustful, drunken, vain, hateful, or some combination of the above. In other words, they mirror humanity...not God.

Furthermore, the determining factor of one's authentic faith relationship with God is not one's denomination, religious practice or performance in Christian disciplines, but rather the presence of the indwelling Spirit of Christ, upon confession of faith. As it is written, “if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (Rom.8:9)

Other gods ...

Jesus said, “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” You either believe it or you don’t. You either put your trust in God, or in man, who is SO inferior to God. Man’s ideas and philosophies, as well meaning as they are, come drastically short of God’s standards and direction for finding salvation. Romans 3:23 - “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard.”

Ultimately, the choice of whom you follow, is up to you. I’m just sharing why I believe as I do. I feel it is not only important to know what you believe, but equally important, is to know why you believe it.

what about santa?
Those who wish to believe in him, may do so, but they need not expect a salvation experience. @isleptinagain

well thank you for your permission, church lady.
It wasn’t stated as permission. It was stated as their option, and don’t address me that way. @isleptinagain
