So I guess I don't know why God couldn't have created everything in a manner that's consistent with scientific observation.
If I turn ten candlesticks in a row on a lathe, or program a CNC lathe to make them-- I'm still the creator, right? The automation of the CNC lathe is just a meta-layer I've conceived of and created beyond the candlesticks.
Same with science.
Science is God's CNC lathe.
So to me all this debate about creation v. science really smells like a project to drive a wedge between science and religion for reasons that are entirely irrelevant to faith.
