@SW-User I actually wrote a play with the same conclusion several years back.
That the earth is actually some kind of universal prison planet, where criminal souls get sent to, and they experience a certain level of misery proportional to the extent of their crimes in their previous incarnation.

@GeistInTheMachine I think, believe it or not, Life is beautiful. That doesn't mean I haven't had my share of problems or miseries but I've never stopped seeing Life as anything other than amazing and I'm thankful to be part of it. But I do think the human race has done it's damnedest to try and make a misery of it through the ages.
