I’m not “religious”. I follow the person of Jesus, not religion, which is man made philosophy. The difference is relationship. Big difference. Be very careful who you talk to. Some are false teachers. You can tell, even though they sound very convincing, who the false teachers are. Their words and actions don’t match up with God’s Word.
I’d be happy to talk to you on the subject of God and His Word. I welcome any questions. My knowledge strictly comes from God’s Word.

@LadyGrace What you say is so true. I've learned that when one looks at a life on the whole one can discover many times when a person's words and actions might be truly exemplary, yet peek in on another point along their walk with God and they may seem to have lost their way completely. I do believe words and actions are important and there should always be a low tolerance for hypocrisy. At the same time I always try and avoid seeing people as only the summation of their outward appearance. Many pious religious people of Jesus's day appeared revenant on the outside but had hearts which told another story and he had little patience with such, while at the same time he welcomed people of ill repute who had a spirit of pure love that shown past their misdeeds. You gave him good advice. I have seen how you interact with people here and I have read some of the faith drenched words you have written and "johnnystha" would be well served by sharing time with you discussing faith, love, and the Lord. Blessings to you, "LadyGrace"

Thank you so much. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. I’ve read your posts, too. Not all, but some. You speak the truth. Above, is proof of that.
It makes me cringe when some profess to know Christ, and then you check out that claim in the groups they’ve chosen, and see much filth. This does not reflect Christ. That’s not judging. That’s observation. Jesus said, “You’ll know them by their fruits!” They may think they’re fooling everyone, but God knows their heart. He can’t be fooled.
Thank you for touching base with me.

Be careful. The path is thick, and wild, and overgrown with tangled thorny vines of deception. Religion is often misused as a dangerous weapon or tool of destruction and divisiveness. Religions have not always served humankind well. Even so, don't hesitate to bravely set your feet and heart out on this journey. It can be rewarding. Thankfully there is always God's true undying love. We make it so complicated. God keeps it rather simple. It's about love. I'll start you off with this...
Love the Lord
and Love others as you would yourself
1 Corinthians 13:2
"If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and even have a faith that can move mountains, but still do not have love, I am nothing."

My view of religion is the same as Lady Grace's view. I believe in God and His son Jesus but it's a relationship not a religion. God has blessed me in so many ways!
