Why do people think that God doesn't have standards? Why turn salvation of God into something worthless were you don't have to pay any price to get it [Spirituality & Religion]

That is heresy! Salvation is so expensive that Jesus litteraly had to die to give us a chance. It's never been free, we have to be holy to be saved and such few people make it into heaven because people sell Christianity short. It's not easy and it won't be easy!
Salvation is FREE. That’s the whole point! We don’t have to work for it or die for it. Your posts make me cringe at how many people you may turn away because of these type beliefs. Nothing in John 3:16 says we must earn salvation. Jesus paid the price of our sins FOR us. Read it....

One of the Bible’s greatest truths is that God offers us our salvation as a free gift. It isn’t something we can buy, nor is it something we can earn by our own good works. The Bible puts it this way: [c=#BF0000]“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).[/c]

If someone gives you a GIFT, you never had to earn it. It’s free!!

Ironic.
Isn't that the very meaning of having someone else die for your own sin?
Rendering it free for the followers and/or of a less expense.
@Miram Jesus died for our sins so we could be saved, not so that we would autimatically be saved. He gave us a chance, like, 'I did the hardest part, now you have hope...go for it.' We have to really go for it, be holy, pure, obey the laws of God the best way we can, repent and forgive others. We have to try really hard, it's not a free ride like people claim it is.

@lightshinesthroughdarkness
so you're one of those "less expense" followers.
It still contradicts the initial statement. Repentance in most cases is the shortest way to avoid guilt.

I mean, I didn't ask for the dude to die for me and some religion I don't believe in. 🤷‍♂️
@SW-User But he did, so that you don't have to live without hope

@lightshinesthroughdarkness Pfft, I don't need some magic dude in the sky to like me in order to have hope in my life. 🙄
I never did understand why he died and how that cleared humans and why we still sin. It seems pointless.
@Spoiledbrat Alot of preachers talk heresy these days, to get money and maybe fame. The story goes like this, God created people and then one of his angels fell. That fallen angel decided to fight against God by making people disobey God(fall of man) and sin. We were all doomed to end up in hell because of sin and God cannot dwell amongst sin. He is so holy. Jesus came to die for our sin so we could get a chance to be reconciled to a holy God. That cleared a huge part of the way in making it into heaven again. Now we had to repent of our sins and live holy lives before God inorder to make it into heaven cause without holiness no one will see God. He is so holy that his only son litteraly had to die so we could have a chance. Holiness is the key word here.
