Is there a religion God does approve of, if so what is it?
No. Because religion is nothing but man-made philosophy. God warns about that.

Matthew 7:15 - "Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves."

Colossians 2:8 - "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Jesus Christ."

Religion and religious leaders and their philosophies, did not suffer and die on the cross for your sins...but Jesus did. It’s not about being religious. It’s about having a personal relationship with Jesus.

@GingerPeach
@LadyGrace I totally agree with you I was just curious about the posters view on the subject.

@GingerPeach Read James 1:27. The Scripture will tell you what type of religion that is acceptable to God.
@GodSpeed63 There are even some organized religions that look after widows and orphans.

So he must not have a problem with those of them who do that.

@GingerPeach If you read in Revelation chapters 2 & 3, you'll see that Jesus does have problems with all of the seven churches even though, they do good deeds in His name.
I know one problem God has with some churches, are ministers and members who teach false doctrine. If a minister is teaching false doctrine, you’ll know it, because it won’t match up with God’s Word. @GingerPeach
@GodSpeed63 That can be said about any religion organized or not.
@LadyGrace There is an element of truth in every religion and it is up to the people to make sure that they are following the right path.
I don't follow any religion because there is not enough truth to make me except any of them.
I’m certainly not trying to tell you what to do, Ginger, and I’m not referencing you, when I say that this seems to be the problem...some don’t know the right path. They sometimes think they do, but it turns out they’ve missed the mark, which is God’s standard of thinking and living. Just a few examples, are those who think they can get to heaven by doing good works, going to church every Sunday, tithing, helping people, praying all time, or just because they’re “good people “, or their parents or a relative was a Christian.

Jesus mentioned in His Word, something about that. He said, “There’s a way that seems right to man, but the end thereof, is death. Meaning spiritual death, because it keeps one separated from God, even though the best of intentions were made. Then you have some who decide to make their own rules about how to get to heaven. The best way to know God’s will for our life, is to stay in, and rely on what God tells us to do in His Word. Every answer God wants us to know to our questions, is in His Word. You just can’t go wrong with that.

I’m glad to hear you don’t follow any religion. That’s very wise of you, because Jesus said religion is just man-made philosophy; which has nothing to do with having a personal relationship with Jesus. He said, “Follow ME.”... not some religion. Yes, we have a personal responsibility to see that we live in obedience to the One who is worthy enough to proclaim, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father, but by Me.”

@GingerPeach
@LadyGrace God knows our hearts and knows who is faithful to him and who is not no matter if we are involved with a religion or not.
@GingerPeach That is certainly true, but what did I say to make you say that? Not everyone is able to attend church.
@LadyGrace @LadyGrace I agree with what you said.
