SW-User
it's like noones ever heard of confirmation bias
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@SW-User Yup... and that's because they haven't

UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@SW-User For real.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@SW-User most creationists are bred on this confirmation bias, like LadyGrace and Godspeed63.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@PikachuTrainer Oh, is LadyGrace still around? She blocked me months ago... I suppose I must have overdosed her on reality and reason, and she panicked.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@newjaninev2 yeah, she blocked me as well, must have been a little harsh on her lmao
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@PikachuTrainer @newjaninev2 She blocked me too, she can't stand having her prejudices challenged.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960 Suzie Q, your a card. I'm praying for you.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 You'd better get my name right or Big G won't know who you mean.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@GodSpeed63 why have you abandoned our examination of Stephen Meyer's duplicity on the video you posted?
Do you intend to return?
I'm thinking for you
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960 😆 He already knows your name, my dear. It's always a pleasure chatting with you.

I've figured we've come as far as we can in this and I dare not go any further with it. I like you and I'll be praying for you. Thank you for thinking for me and it's been a pleasure chatting with you. Take Care, My Friend.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@newjaninev2 Looks like you've worn him out lol
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger
Looks like you've worn him out lol
Nah! Never happen. Even if that were the case, the truth is still not reached.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 OK, I know we've discussed this before, but I'd like to make sure we are on the same page. You say that your version of Christianity the only truth and that other versions of Christianity and other religions are not the real truth. Is that a fair summary of your position?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger
Is that a fair summary of your position?
You're pretty close. Yes, there are religious people who claim to be Christian but the Truth is not in them. True Believers in Christ is not a religion, it's a way of life that brings those who truly believe into the men and women God created from the very beginning. The Truth is in us. The good news is that the Truth can be in anyone if they ask for it. It's God's desire for everyone.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 OK, we'll leave out the discussion about the meaning of the word religion. But, let's make an assumption that I had decided to return to a belief in God. Coming from a materialistic perspective, I would seek as much information as I could in order to make an informed choice. Therefore, I would speak to as many Christians as I could find, including yourself.

Each one would say that their interpretation of the Bible is the correct one and that I should follow their version of Christianity. The question then arises; how could I, as a materialistic atheist, determine which version of Christianity is the truth? Remember that at this point in time, I do not have a belief in God, but am on the verge of changing my viewpoint (don't forget that this is a hypothetical discussion).
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger Receive Christ as your personal Lord and Savior into your heart and life, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Religion has nothing to do with it. Don't follow any kind of Christianity, follow Christ Himself. As I said before, man made religion doesn't cut it.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 And if it doesn't lead me to the same truth that you believe, will it still be truth?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger Whatever truth God shares with you may be truth that He hasn't shared with me yet. God will not contradict Himself.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 That's the closest I've heard you come to admitting that other truths may exist. I'm very glad to see it.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger All truth belongs to God. Remember that.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 But the implication is that there may be more than one truth.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63
All truth belongs to God. Remember that.
Where's your evidence? What are you basing that claim on?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@suzie1960
Where's your evidence? What are you basing that claim on?
The evidence is in you and I'm basing my claim on the Word of God in spite of what you say about it. God's Word is Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth, so help us, God. You can say all you want against it but not even you can change the Truth.
PikachuTrainer · 26-30, M
@GodSpeed63 The evidence in us lowly mortals points to evolution, not some God, indeed your Truth is nothing more than cherry picking the Bible to parts that suit you and your beliefs without actually backing up any of your unsubstantiated claims.
