Science in no way points to "God"
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny What are you basing your conclusion on? How do you know?
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@GodSpeed63 There is no more evidence to support the God of the Bible than there is to support the gods of Greek mythology or Valhalla.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny What makes you think that? Is that the truth or just your opinion?
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@GodSpeed63 Ther's no proof whatsoever of any God. There are chemistry, physics and economics
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny
There are chemistry, physics and economics
Where do you think they originated from?
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@GodSpeed63 Chemistry and physics describe what has always existed. Economics is a human invention that describes human activities.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny So, where did man get their knowledge from? How did He recognize them for what they are?
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@GodSpeed63 They have been developed through the centuries. Humans invented the notation systems, the relationships exist regardless of our abilities to discern them.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny That still doesn't answer my question.
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
Man gets its' knowledge through observation and logic.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny How could man know about observation and logic if he started out like a dumb animal?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 Evolution. YOU started out as a fetus and manged to get smarter with time, didn't you?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@ChipmunkErnie
YOU started out as a fetus and manged to get smarter with time, didn't you?
That's debatable. ;)

@CookieLuvsBunny "When I hear a mathematical formula, I hear the voice of God." Sir Issac Newton.

He believed the proof of God was in the perfection of mathematics which could only have been created by design, not chance. But pleased forgive him - he was not as wise and or as well educated as you are.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Abrienda And then, with a few hundred more years of scientific knowledge, Neil Degrasse Tyson, accomplished astrophycisist, says this:

If you believe phsiscists are qualified to speak on questions of religion, you should take this to mean that there is no divine, omnibenevolent god.
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@Abrienda The relationships described in mathematics exist independent of mathematics itself. But mathematics itself is a human invention not a discovery
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@BlueVeins TYSON? You mean the "master of the universe" ... the man with the made-up "discipline" of "astrophysics" and popular with teenagers and teenage mentalities alike?

Thank you but I don't like academic frauds...or criminal frauds either.

BlueVeins · 22-25
@Abrienda LOL, you should tell that to his Nobel Prize. Or his Ph.D. Or one of his several honorary doctorates. Astrophysics is partially responsible for putting a man on the Moon. You can't argue with results, ma'am.
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@Abrienda I don't know very much about Dr. Tyson but astrophysics is not a made-up discipline. NASA employs lots of them. The internet service you are using right now depends on the developments of that discipline.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny How do you know? What are you basing your conclusion on?
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@GodSpeed63 The internet, cell phone service, television and a lot of other things work only because of satellites circling the earth in Geosynchronous orbit. The knowledge of the principles of astrophysics are what makes that possible.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny So? What does that have to do with your claim about science not pointing to God?
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@GodSpeed63 I thought you were referring to the subject of astrophysics. You and your cohorts have not offered 1 piece of evidence supporting the existence of "God". You've only attacked those who don't share your delusions.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@CookieLuvsBunny You're living proof that God lives right down to the last cell. We offered plenty of evidence that He lives. You, on the hand, have yet to show evidence that He doesn't live and that we are delusional.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@GodSpeed63 In what way is @CookieLuvsBunny living proof that your made up god lives? We could all be living proof that The Flying Spaghetti Monster lives, right down to the last cell. You have yet to show evidence that It doesn't live.
