If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. [Spirituality & Religion]

That’s one of God’s Promises in 1 John 1:9, and He never breaks a promise.

@correctingright Our sins will have separated us from God.

God is the source of everything good. Love, light, happiness, comfort, peace, love, mercy, and joy. Everything good. He respects our choice to reject him, but in the end, rejecting him means rejecting everything good that comes from him.

If you reject food, you’ll go hungry. If you reject water, you’ll suffer for lack of hydration....everything you need to sustain life. If you reject the source of everything good, you can't have anything good. If you don't want him, you are rejecting his benefits. It’s not about a monster, casting people into hell. It’s about people refusing the source. He didn’t have to die for our sins, but he did. In fact, he volunteered.
@LadyGrace In a world of politicians who lie and deceive it saddens me that there are people hating Christianity but who hang on the words of political leaders waiting for them to provide a better world. They never will get that putting their faith in politicians. They may say "yes but politicians are real at least!" There is a great irony in this. They are anything but "real".
@NightTimeWolf So very true!
