If you "know" that your god is real, what's the need to still say you "believe" in him? [Spirituality & Religion]

If you know something for a fact there is technically no further need to merely "believe" in it.
So why, if you claim you knew your god existed for a fact, do you still refer to it as your "belief"?

Is this what an atheist constantly think about 馃馃
@SW-User Yes. Atheists tend to have a lot of religious knowledge cause they think of what ifs.

@canusernamebemyusername confusing isn't it? To think that they don't believe in God but they questioned the people who believed in them. 馃し馃徎 I don't understand 馃
@SW-User Well I am atheistic and I do this. But I have always liked religion even though I don't believe it anymore. I think it is fun to study. Also I am fascinated by how people believe stuff. Like how they think and what logic they use. It is like studying the psychology.
Also some people are just really arrogant and need to be brought down a peg. Like hippyjoe on here. But if a person is nice I tend not to poke at them on purpose. Cause in that case they are good. I have said for a long time if your religion doesn't make you a better person then it has failed. But if it makes you nice then it is working.

@canusernamebemyusername i understand, i have an atheist friend and i never heard him ask me about my beliefs and stuff so 馃し馃徎
@SW-User Well for me that is why I do it. I just like everyone to have an open mind. Even me. I mean if there was all this spiritual stuff the scientist in me would be excited. Like a whole new reality to explore. But another part of me would be terrified. Like what if god is a tyrant. What if there is no internet in the afterlife:(
SW-User
@canusernamebemyusername tahahhahahaha. We're all be dead anyways. Who needs internet 馃ぃ馃ぃ
@SW-User I do:( I need cat videos.
SW-User
@canusernamebemyusername there could be cats there 馃槼馃
@SW-User But what if there isn't? I cant' take the pressure! Oh and books. What if I die before finishing a series?! Are books free? Are there still publishing rights?
SW-User
@canusernamebemyusername 馃槵 well, u better read them all while you're still here..
@SW-User Im trying. I already read through 6 in two weeks.

The arrogance of some christians is astounding. The seem to think they have the right to impose their beliefs and lifestyle choices on everyone else. I knew a christian once who took great delight at knowing his group annoyed others a disrupted their activities by making a lot of noise. His excuse was "you can't keep god quiet". What arrogance!
@suzie1960 Yep that is one of those all right.

@canusernamebemyusername Most (not all) atheists were once religious so it's understandable they'd know religious texts. Especially if they came from an ultra religious family and/or had a falling out.
