A family that prays together [Spirituality & Religion]

[c=#800000]My family and I pray each night before going to bed and a few weeks back I suggested we read the Bible before praying because I like quoting the Bible when praying and my mom said it was a good idea. About two weeks later they started continuously suggesting I be the one to share. At first I didn't think too much into it but the more I thought about it it became clear they didn't care much about reading the Bible as a family. Today I suggested we stop doing it altogether and I'll do it on my own instead and they had mixed feelings about that. I felt like they weren't interested in taking part and I had no problem reading the Bible all on my own because I'll be going to Heaven all on my own anyway.

My mom told me not to complain that I do it most of the time because my siblings help me out all the time since I'm disabled but never complain so I should read for them every single day and be okay with it. I told her I never chose to be disabled and if I could do everything myself I would. My siblings told me they didn't care about reading the Bible as a family and that I should read all on my own and hearing everyone speak their thoughts made me cry when I was all alone. I don't know weather to ignore them the next time they suggest I read or just read for them to keep everyone happy[/c]

You should read to them. I bet they probably love hearing you read more than learning about God. You're a sweet sister, you could even ask them what book they want you to read.
