God created the universe from nothing and God came from nothing. They just appear out of nothing...I guess.

MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Of course not. God is the source of energy, he is surely something, hence he created it through his own power in the process of "work".

Energy is matter, matter is energy, just different forms like ice is water.

@Phire1
I will forever be astonished by that the fact theists think their Bible is "god's" word and not Humans' word...
What I find funny is they way they claim it's "god's word" and that god is perfect but then try to explain the errors and contradictions in the bible as man's errors. :)
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@suzie1960 That too.

Interpretations

@suzie1960 I'm not a linguist, translator, or studied language. But I think there may be definitions lost in translations due to human error. Still, humans created languages and the Bibles...

I theists believe that God was the something. Anyway , they always have "In God anything is possible" in their back pocket to explain things that don't make sense.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@JimboSaturn The only pseudo-explanation that creationists have for anything is 'goddit'. Of course, that completely fails to explain the origin of their magical entity... unless it created itself.

By trying to explain everything away, creationists actually explain nothing at all.
theist never explain what caused god. They always claim that Something can't come from nothing like atheist supposedly believe but god cannot come from nothing. So where did he come from?

@kingkyri They can't explain why the singularity that expanded to form the universe couldn't have always existed like they claim their god did.

They say they universe is too complex to have occurred by chance yet they believe a much more complex "creator" did. That just shows how ridiculous their argument is.

@kingkyri Thanks, I'll take a look at that later.

Atheists are very smart actually 🤔
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@gummybears Some are, yes
Kabbalists would state: Ain, ain soph, ain soph aur. Eternal negativity, limitless light and limitless being dwelling within is the fundamental nature of the universe which represents what we may think of as 'nothing'. There has always been something.

@EugenieLaBorgia I'm thinking chemical/gas reactions
@Phire1 Sounds like an SW all-night rave!!

Brain farts! That's the only explanation why everything's so messed up, he used brain farts! ☺

@Phire1 for me too, we have to consider what we think is nothing, to a scientists doesn't mean nothing exists, as there is positive there is negative, where there is matter there is anti-matter. Quantum physics is beyond me. As for intelligent design, well it wasn't so clever was it. The most successful life forms on earth are viruses and bacteria, some viruses aren't even "life", this intelligent design is messed up for sure.
Phire1 · 51-55, F
@SW-User I've delved a tiny bit into QM but it is confusing. Maybe if I spent more time to learn about it then it would be less so but I have way too many other things to research and learn.
However, I wouldn't consider the 'big bang' to be "life" ...
SW-User
@Phire1 nor I. "Life" is just a word, like organic and non organic. Words are things that help us categorise things to better understand them, communicate what's in our heads. Whether it's living or not we are just molecules made of atoms, atoms are made of electrons ......., and on it goes.
