Have you thought that maybe God isn't all that, if he allowed all this to happen to you?
@SW-User How is that pertinent at the moment?
@SW-User i used to seriously believe it and now i just think that people made it up because they thought they needed it
@LILY61 Not so at all. Sometimes people make wrong choices in many, many ways, then blame God. God doesn’t treat people as if they are nothing. The very fact He suffered and died in such agony on the cross so you could go to heaven, tells you that. How have you treated Him? He didn’t put you in this position. He didn’t force you to make bad choices.
@LadyGrace wow! God was not put on a cross. Jesus was. I treated God very well. i have never done a cruel or wrong thing in my life. i didn't have choices. and if there is a god, he had the power to give this woman a life. and i would bet real money that i have been in more pain in my life than Jesus. This is why i don't talk to religious people. they are so cruel and condemning about everything. i did not ask for any of this.
@LILY61 Yes, Jesus is God. You missed my point. God loving you has nothing to do with if you’ve done bad or good. He loves you unconditionally just the way you are, and wants to help you, if you’ll turn things over to Him. Everyone has choices. I never said you asked for any of this. Things happen in life. Some, we can’t control. But things work 100% better, when we have someone who knows what is best for us and is 100% smarter than we are, to guide us, because He can see our future and what path we should go down. That, being Jesus.

In order to know Him, we must be willing to ask Him to come into our life, acknowledging that we have sins that need to be forgiven, ask Jesus to forgive them, then accept that He has forgiven them and let Him know you’d like to invite Him into your heart and life. I know from experience he will turn your life around, but you must be willing to let Him. He is there for the purpose of rescuing you and transforming your life into something wonderful and beautiful. Just as He has me, and thousands of others.

You said “if” there is a God. There is. He’s real, and He’s alive. He rescued me. With two small children, I had to escape the abuse, too. I had no place to go, no money, not one person to help me, but I had to set out on my own to protect us. Didn’t know where I was going or what would happen, but I knew one thing for sure. I prayed for God’s help, and I knew God would not let me down. And He didn’t. He is a person of His word, so I left on faith, knowing my God would see us through.

He’s an on time God, and He is totally trustworthy. He can turn anyone’s life around, so don’t listen to these people who don’t even know God, yet say there is no God. I know better. I’ve experienced for 45 years what He can do and can tell you He IS trustworthy. He has never let me down. He won’t leave you out there alone. Ask and you shall receive. He said it, He meant it. And He lives up to it. He is perfect and sinless. He cannot break His Word. But you must trust Him to help you. If you don’t know a person, they can’t help you, right? If Jesus doesn’t know you, He can’t help you, so you’ve got to make that connection, before He can begin helping you. He’ll give you a whole brand new life, like He did me. IF you’ll ask Him to come into your life. When we say yes to Jesus, that gives Him permission to start working to help you in your life. It’s not hard. Just say yes to Him.
@LILY61 No one has ever suffered more than Jesus. He endured the torment and excruciating pain of crucifixion, to be nailed and hung on a cross, for six hours, and carried all our sins on Himself, so we could have our sins forgiven, a relationship with our Heavenly Father again, and an eternity in heaven.
@LILY61 I didn’t condemn you one time. Read my words the way they were written.
@LadyGrace you need to read your bible. Jesus and god are not the same. God is a wrathful being...a vengeful spirit. No where in the Bible does it say he is this helpful kind creature that modern man has turned him into. i don't have any sin to atone for. i am nice and good and never did a thing to anyone. i have been bought and sold like a slave. i have been raped to where i could n't probably bare children if i wasn't being assaulted and almost killed my whole life anyway. i should have killed myself along time ago but just wanted to know what happened next. i don't belong here. lies have followed me every where i have been. that is the truth.
@LadyGrace many , many people have been crucified on the cross, but nobody talks about them. I don't believe that he went through that much. he had admiration of his peers and was loved by many and then died a violent death at the hands of those who were jealous of him. i believe the stories are from a combination of people and he was just this nice guy that started a new religion. i am sure he would have kept it to himself if he saw what people have done in his name.
@LadyGrace I didn't make any bad choices. how typical to blame someone who never did a bad thing to anyone. i was born a victim and have been treated like a victim my entire life. i have only had one choice...whether to live or die. so i guess you are right. i made the wrong decision
@LILY61
how typical to blame someone who never did a bad thing to anyone.
Yet this is exactly how you are treating God. Blaming everything on Him. He never did a bad thing to anyone, either, yet he still died for even those who cursed him, spit on him, beat him, rejected him, and hung him on the cross. Regardless of your beliefs, God is perfect. That being the case, He’s not out to hurt or abandon anyone. It’s not in His character to do so. There is no evil in Him, yet everyone always blames God. All through His Word, we see He never abandoned anyone. He is love personified, and never treats people as if they are nothing.

I can understand your life and all you’ve gone through. I’ve gone through just as hard times, having a very sweet nature and never hurt anyone, either. Abused for 34 years, two children to raise, just trying to survive and get through each day. No place to go, no money, no family to help. Being a follower of Christ since 1973, in 2005, I asked Jesus to help me, to rescue me. I knew if anyone could save me, Jesus could. He didn’t let me down. He’s not out to hurt people; He’s a rescuer of people. That’s His character.

Never think I don’t empathize with you. As a survivor of abuse, I’m so sorry you are going through this. I’m telling you there is a way out. Always a way out. Jesus is your best friend, if you’ll give Him a chance, but if you criticize and blame him for your troubles, which he never put on you, he won’t be able to help you. He is a helper, a rescuer....he knows exactly what you’re going through and he wants to help. You have not gone through this for no reason. Jesus is trying to get you to understand that you do need Him...that He is the way, and he wants you to leave that situation and while you don’t have the strength to leave, just as I thought I didn’t, He will make a way. He will give you the strength to get away, if you’ll trust him. Fear can also be a great motivator. If I could do it, so can you, honey. I shook so bad I could hardly stand, but with God’s help, I did it. I trusted him to help me and he did. He’ll do the same for you, I guarantee. He helped me face the fear and get past it, even though I shook. You cannot do it alone, but you can do it with God by your side. Do your best, and what you can’t do, He will do the rest. Sometimes we become so fearful and stubborn that we think we cannot do that which we need to do. That’s what Satan wants us to believe, but that is a lie. Sometimes it takes something hard, to realize things need to change. God does not want to staying in misery and abuse. You can see from your situation and that God is telling you it’s time to move and get out to a place where you could be happy and safe. You must do as I did and just trust him and put your faith completely in him and he will help you. He will not let you down. He WANTS to help you, but first things first. We must ask Jesus to forgive our sins and start living for Him. We must turn from our old way of living and invite Him into our life, as Lord and Savior, allowing Him to lead us, by putting our faith and trust in Him, not in the circumstances. He can’t work on our behalf if we don’t even trust him or know him. I’ve seen him do things in peoples lives where there seemed to be no way out or any hope of escape and rescue, whatsoever. I am one of them. You can be another. You can do this. He’ll give you a whole new life. A brand new beginning. Just talk to Him. He wants you out of that situation even more than you do. He came not to condemn, but so we could have a new life in Him, and have love and joy abundantly in our lives. He helps people everyday, who put their trust in him. He makes a way, where there seems to be no way. That’s what He does. He wants to see you happy.
@LILY61 Well, that is why people don't receive anything from God, if they don't believe who He is or why He came. if you don't believe in him nor want to know him, you can't turn around and say he did nothing for you. By your own admission, you don't even know him and don't care too because you don't believe in him.
@LadyGrace you have never read the Bible. I have. In these stories about him, he is angry and vengeful and makes A LOT of mistakes. Floods! That only kills the weak and poor. Fires! Seriously, do you think only rock stars are losing their homes? Tsunamis and hurricanes! Why would anyone invent either of these monstrosities? No one would. there is no god. there is no devil. Yahweh and Lucifero were two ancient leaders that fought to the death and Yah weh won. Back in the day, they would burn you when you died. Greek and Roman mythology are much older than the Bible. Hades was the God of the underworld and the dead. That is where this comes from. And i am sure that Zeus and Hades and Ares and the rest were probably real guys and the stories grew around them. The Bible was written by guys that went into the caves to get stoned by the fumes and felt closer to God. I only started this thread because so many of you suggest religion to help me through my pain. It was the religious that lied about me and destroyed my life. I used to be very religious and then i realized that all of the good people i have known have literally nothing and the evil monsters in this world get what ever they want.
@LILY61 oh, so you know me now, and that I've never read the Bible. Everything you have said here is not in God's Word, I can tell you that. But, believe what you will.
@LadyGrace thank you. that is all i have been waiting for from you. i will believe what i will...
