What is the purpose of going to church? [Spirituality & Religion]

This is a legit question I have, I mean what are we truly doing when attending church? What does God want to get from us by going to the church? And another question, is it good to go even if I have my baby keeping me busy while I can't really listen to the missionary? I like attending church, but it's hard to be really ''there'' when I have to look after my little one.

I think maybe it is about your fellowship with fellow Christians as much as it is about the worship. You make those connections in church with other Christians hopefully and then they are there to help in dark times.
I'm there to check out the nuns ,don't know why anyone else would go
church is for learning and bonding with others

The God/Jesus/salvation hypothesis is extremely weak: being wholly dependent on highly unreliable proofs.

Church serves to convince people that they're not alone in their odd beliefs. It revitalizes their confidence.

God called us to gather together with other Christians. but many churches are a far cry from truly of God. i hunt until i find one that preaches the gospel and really follows God.

It's a community thing, people go for connections, for some people it's how they socialise

Don't look on church as somewhere to go to but something to be a part of

it's a tool to use against others.

Until we get equality in education, we won't have an equal society.
