I admit I'm pretty self righteous in regard to agnostics. This fence sitting disturbs me.

I feel like believers are more self righteous. Despite my atheist writings on here, I've been friends with a lot of religious people. I always give people a chance but my encounters have made me wary of the literal religious types. Too many things to get into here but they act strange sometimes. There's this regular person underneath it all but then they fear their literal God so there's this other half that doesn't match with the other half. It's like a weird split personality to me.

In other areas religious people are always trying to take away LGBT rights, referring to them as animals. I've actually ran into one atheist on here that's anti LGBT but he uses evangelist pseudo science sources as the basis for their claims. It's strange to me the way religious people behave.

You have the child witch hunts in Africa, often targeting the outcast of the group. This is also led by Evangelist preachers from America and from Africa.

Aside from Christians, you have Muslim leaders who speak about women in a derogatory manner. Where stoning and blasphemy laws are the most prevalent (don't get me wrong, Christians would have their blasphemy law in America if it was their choice.)

Then after all that, a common thing I hear is from any monotheist of any religion, get together to say that if anyone doesn't believe in their God, then we're monsters. They don't believe people can be moral without the bible (even despite when their own does monstrous stuff.) They then say "oh those are not real Christians, those are not real _________" insert any religion you want.

So yeah they don't get how self righteous that all sounds. To the rest of us, what they say their beliefs are and how they actually act are two different things. Partially why I tend to shun them.
