Do you Want Proof God Exists [Spirituality & Religion]

just look ou the window at the glories of nature. consider the perfection of the human body if well cared for, the beauty of the colors f the fish, the sounds of the birds. the vastness of the heavens. now tell me this all just happened accidentally? and explain to me how evolution takes thousands of years but man's brain went from survival mode to creative, reasoning, intelligent thinking in the space of a blink of an eye. and why there is no evidence of horizontal evolution, only vertical. never has there been any proof that an animal, vegetable or man changed for the better unless man intervened and chemically made it happen.

Thousands of scientists disprove evolution by just opening their eyes. the rest just scream the loudest so that's all you can hear.

Yet no one can really believe that that this world, this universe just happened. the math doesn't work, evolution doesn't work, only God works.

@Emosaur i gt that you don't believe and at least you are open to the fact that it didn't just happen without something to create it.

as for the brain change, as you said evolution takes billions of years, but if evolutionists are right it took only a few thousand years for the brain to go from a survival brain to a thinking, creative, reasoning brain. or the blink of an eye in evolutionary time. how could the greatest change in mankind take place so quickly when everything else far less spectacular took billions and billions of years.

as for things changing for the better. as man gets further from god he gets more and more corrupted. so things will continue to get worse until the end time. but he began pure

those biological changes are all vertical. you don't see a lizard become a turtle. which is the big leap they say man made...

i freely admit there is no solid "there is God" proof of God, but there is proof in his creation if you open your eyes and btw there is no proof there isn't a God either.

i know god exists but i can't prove it to you without you taking a leap of faith. you can in no way disprove my faith. pretty simple actually. if either were possible it would end one of the world's biggest questions

@ladycae
i freely admit there is no solid "there is God" proof of God, but there is proof in his creation if you open your eyes and btw there is no proof there isn't a God either.
There's no proof there isn't a Flying Spaghetti Monster; an Invisible Pink Unicorn; Santa Claus; a Tooth Fairy or even Russell's Teapot either. Do you therefore believe all those exist too?

I could say I know they all exist but I can't prove it to you without you taking a leap of faith. That statement is no less valid than what you said.

@suzie1960 i believe God exists because of so many things. i have seen actual miracles. he is not a pink unicorn or the tooth fairy. he is the God who created so much more than that. you can certainly choose not to believe that is your choice, but don't mock me for my beliefs.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@ladycae I'm not mocking you, I'm just pointing out that there is no evidence that those other entities do not exist either. You're free to believe what you wish. I no longer believe in the christian god because I haven't seen any evidence to support the hypothesis that it does. (I use the pronoun 'it' because something that doesn't exist cannot be male or female.)

I have seen evidence of Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. Santa brought presents to me each year (through the agency of others "doing Santa's work") and the Tooth Fairy left money under my pillow when I lost a tooth.

In one case, a tooth came out at school. The teacher kindly wrapped in in a tissue for me so I shouldn't lose it. That night I unwrapped it to put it under my pillow but the tooth had gone. In its place was a shiny sixpence. Only the Tooth Fairy could have done that without my knowing.

@ladycae you can label anything a "miracle" to suit your needs

There is no real concrete proof but to be honest I don't care either way
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@SW-User I don't care what christians choose to believe. I just object to them trying to force their beliefs onto others. They'd soon object if Satanists (or members of any other religion) tried to gain recruits the same way,
ladycae · 100+, F
@Fernie no i am talking about actual miracles. limbs lengthening. scoliosis straightening, growths removed, chronic deformed hips straightening. those kinds of miracles. things medical science says I have no idea how this happened. not oh i found a parking space. but fernie you have a choice. i am just a messenger. if you choose not to believe it's your choice. i just know the love of God is incredible and can do marvelous, miraculous things.
ladycae · 100+, F
@suzie1960 is anyone objecting to you believing as you do? i don't see it. yet i constantly see you complain about Christians shoving things at you, trying to force you to believe. who is doing this?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@ladycae When I tried to get away from christianity I was threatened and subject to violence by those trying to keep me in the cult. Now I still see christians aggressively trying to force there views onto others. I had two groups some call on Friday with "invitations" to their church. The first were Jehovah's Witness who politely left when I said I wasn't interested. The second were from the local CoE church and were a lot more pushy and aggressive. I had to tell them very forcefully to leave my property.
ladycae · 100+, F
@suzie1960 i am sorry you had these experiences. Just to be clear, Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christians. they are a cult. Why do you let these people bother you so much? just let it go. you keep bringing up what happened when you left your church? how long ago was that?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@ladycae Jehovah's Witnesses call themselves christians and live by their interpretation of the bible. That's good enough for me to accept they are christians. They don't bother me either. As I've just said, they two who called on Friday apologized for troubling me and politely left almost immediately I said I wasn't interested.

It's the more mainstream christians, like the second lot who called, that I have problems with. I only bring up what happened to me in response to posts trying to make out that christianity is good and attempt to draw people in. I'm just letting them know the dangers they could be facing.
ladycae · 100+, F
@suzie1960 Google them. they are a cult. they believe you are saved if you give out enough tracts, that is why they are so pervasive. they may talk about the bible, but they have another book the believe in more. they are a cult, nothing more. so you feel the need to preach your truth, yet i don't have the right to preach mine and God's? that seems kind of hypocritical. but we will have to disagree because i will not stop. i just have to wonder about someone who cares so much. there is more inside you or you would just let it go. but that is for you to think about. i just know i don't feel the need to read everything people say that is antichristian unless specifically addressed to me. why do you?
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@ladycae I consider all christianity a cult. What is the other book Jehovah's Witnesses believe in more that the bible?

You're free to preach what you think is the truth but I'll continue to challenge it with what I consider to be the truth. Actually, that's how scientific advancement works. One person presents a hypothesis which others then challenge. The hypothesis is refined as necessary to fit the demonstrable facts before it finally becomes a "theory".

I was a victim of christianity. I care enough about others to want to help them avoid falling into the same trap.
ladycae · 100+, F
@suzie1960 you are not a victim to me. i have done nothing to "victimize" you. yet you blame me for what others out of my control have done. that seems unfair. i don't blame you for what atheists have done to me? yet they are every bit as push and mean as you think Christian are.Google Jehovah's witnesses. you will see a lot of unique things. their main book is New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.. but it has little relationship to the actual bible. you can tell wwho they are because most of their publications are printed by watch tower.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@ladycae I'm not blaming you personally for what other christians have done to me. In fact, I was like you at one time, thinking god was great and all that but now I see I was being misled. You could be as much of a victim as I was, you just haven't realised yet.

Jehovah's Witness get a lot of bad press but they're really no worse than any other christian group. The New World Translation is just one of many translation of the bible. I have a copy. It's written in modern English ("you" rather than "thou/thee" etc.) but doesn't differ significantly from the KJV.
