Only reason is my mom...it's because since from childhood I had noticed only one things- whenever she prayers for anything she get instant positive result of it.

The Bible says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. There are many writings about people of faith in the Bible. Read those and they will help your faith grow. They help us understand what it takes to have faith. Faith is simply taking God at his word. It's not wondering if God will do as he says...It's expecting God to do what he says he will do. What keeps my faith going is knowing whom I have my faith IN. He has never let me down. He is faithful in keeping his word.

Every time I see a new day... Every time God answers my prayers, Every time He shows the beauty of this world... That's what keeps my faith alive and growing ^_^
In the simplest things, we see God.
Some people believe you have to be covered by the Holy Spirit to see God working around you.. But no. Open your eyes to your surroundings and you'll see how God is in everything!
@HappyFlower Beautifully said.
I forgot to mention that when we go to church, we hear the Word and our faith grows. Also, by exercising your faith, it will grow. You will begin to trust him more. You can also ask God for more faith.

I was at a time in my life when I quit believing in God completely. I had once been a very committed Christian I guess some would say. A few years ago, when I didn’t believe in God anymore, I had a dream. I won’t go into great detail but I do believe God came to me in a dream. I can’t take any credit for my faith. God gave me faith

I'm going to keep an eye on the answers to your post. It's a great question and I so wish I had more faith.

Experience. Faith is lived. Not studied or practiced. He will guide and lead you into all truth. Trust Him.

The Bible teaches that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.......What keeps it going is the fear of the alternative ...
ladycae · 100+, F
@SW-User so now you are changing your response. as a Christians we have no fear of going to hell so no we don't have to fear it.
SW-User
@ladycae Well then you have nothing to worry about then do you!? Jude warned the Bible Christians to earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints...By transgression Judus fell....READ the scriptures...Obedience is required of the saved people of God. "Trust and obey..for there's no other way"... If one obeys, then no, they have nothing to fear...but you must be obedient to the faith...You will fight a good fight of faith if you go to heaven...not just slip slide in on a banana peel...whatever soothes your conscience! I want the unadulterated truth...Bye..have a great day..not going to answer anymore accusations...Nor will I read any more if they are accusations!

@SW-User i apologize that you took my questioning what you said as accusations. they were not intended to be. they were merely questions because if you truly felt fear of damnation i felt compassion for you. but you kept changing your answers as though you had not said that. as for Judas he was always meant to play the part he did in the life of Christ.God knew that he would never truly believe and would sell Christ out for money. he then repented and hung himself out of guilt.

my faith has grown through very simple things. i read the Word every day and really study the words. i have a few study guides, a concordance, and an apologetics bible as well that i will read the same section in. even if it's just a few verses i learn so much. i ask God to grow my faith and reveal himself in a new and more special way. every day. i talk to him like i am talking here. i pray without ceasing. he's my go-to guy. i also pray with a group of other women on the phone. the Bible says the prayers of a righteous woman availeth much. i open my eyes and see his creation, i see him in my life.i see the changes he has made in me i see answered prayer and how he has guided me through my life. all these things give me so much joy i can hardly contain it. i just want to shout thank you and praise you God. just love him and communicate to him. you don't need special words of anything just talk to him. i am just getting into meditation as a way to quiet and let him speak to me.

I suspect being tested strengthens one's faith .....:)

Relationship with God through prayer and Bible. Relationships with others of the same faith is supposed to help but often just adds religious baggage.

God has shown me his miracles many times. I feel like a renewed person whenever I pray.
